What are some things you guys do to let your partner know you appreciate them when you’ve been working long hours? Like what’s the equivalent of sending flowers but to a dude?

Beef jerky bouquet.

I retract my previous statement and defer to the beef jerky bouquet.

I think most everyone (dude or not) would appreciate a simple, "hey thanks for putting all those hours in." Flowers or gifts are weird.

So I’ll have to second the beef jerky bouquet. 🥓

Haha I guess this wasn’t clear. I mean at home romantic partner but I suppose this would be a nice gesture for a work wife/husband as well.

Fun fact, my boyfriend loves daisies. Just because they're a dude, doesn't mean they don't like flowers 💪

BJs is the only thing my bf want as a “sorry I only see you upright for 5 min a day maybe” gifts.

I highly recommend The 5 Love Languages book. Once you find out how your partner likes to be communicated with you can amp it up when you are putting in the hours. My husband is acts of service so if I do some extra chores to help him out it goes a long way like unloading the dishwasher makes him happy. We are opposite so they say that you express love in the way that you want to receive it. I’m physical touch so I like to hug and hold hands which my husband doesn’t care about as much. It was really interesting and definitely helped us communicate and in those times where you need to step it up you have a good roadmap of how to best communicate your appreciation.

Does dude partner give you gifts for working long hours alongside him?

Can’t go wrong with food. Bring bagels one morning or offer to spring for lunch

I would say something that involves your time and attention ( cook dinner and watch a movie or hit a bucket of balls or something together) BUT that’s not really the equivalent of just “sending flowers” is it. So that’s got me thinking.

@consultant haha I know right? Want to do something special while I’m at work and he’s at home (freelances and we don’t live together).

How about a box of chocolate covered strawberries or a massage gift certificate ?

Can never go wrong with ordering some Grubhub or Seamless for your partner 💃🏽

A beer. Bottle or can
