Agreed but only in spring and summer!
Got to the Newseum before it goes out of business. Library of Congress has some of the most spectacular architecture in DC. And go see the monuments lit up at night. I think Iwo Jima is particularly majestic. And whatever time you go to MLK Memorial, do read every single quote. Kayaking the Potomac, leaving under the Key Bridge, is a fun way to see the city from a different vantage point. The National Arboretum is a real gem to explore too!

Arlington cemetery. Gravelly point park and bike up to Theodore Roosevelt island. Old town Alexanderia. Great falls. My favorite spots
