[query] Is it a good idea to say a firm No due to medical reasons to a new night shift project I'm hired in?Accenture
I recently got a night shift project (2 days ago) that requires me to work from 10:30pm till 7:30am
I'm not comfortable with these timings and I'm thinking to ask my manager to put me on Bench (Due to medical reasons that involve mental health)
Is it a nice idea to say a firm No to a new project I'm hardlocked into, due to night shifts?

What accounts does FCB Chicago still work on?
Has anyone moved from Accenture Federal to CGI Federal at Manager/Senior Manager level? Looking at Strategy/Organizational Change Management roles, and curious to know if you feel that compensation and benefits were worth it when measured against your actual experience once you started working with CGI. (I understand that some of it depends on the account you're on, the team you have, etc., just trying to decide if it's worth considering.) Thanks!

Go into director’s office early in the morning to throw away all his pens
Wow you just made my day. Thank you ! LMAO
Left work at 6pm
I took my partners bottled of vodka he had in the freezer for his late nights. I needed it for my long days. Sorry Eric
Round up those hours, charge food when not at the office, taking extra vaca days
I borrowed a mouse from IT and forgot to return it.

On a more serious note a few years ago a partner had me help with email on their phone. I accidentally opened up their photos and saw some risqué photos of who I believe was a principal within the firm at the time. Interestingly the principal I suspected made partner the following year.
How risqué on scale of 1 to 10?
Let the team go over the meal allowance. I just hate that they’ll agonise over choosing dessert or a soft drink. Like, it’s $5 max, get both.
I took peanut butter pretzels from the Deloitte audit room. I don’t work for Deloitte. 🤪
Sounds like Deloitte has good snacks.
They made me sit in a supply closet so I hid under my desk and took all the naps

I had a douche partner who used to throw team parties at his house. I Upper decked his toilet (i.e., pooped in the toilet tank) during one of them.
Good on you!! I hope you didn’t leave any streaks...
Use the company’s card to pay for uber/lyft during busy season in the morning on weekdays bc Im always running late bc I get off very late the night before. Let them pay for both day and night ubers...
Director 1 acts like a five figure salary is impressive
After an office Christmas party in a large metro area I slept with a senior manager when I was a staff. I didn't work for her or anything but I guess pretty unethical.
Just don’t do it on a partners desk. That would get you fired......lol. Not “suiting up” just gives you the gifts that keep on giving.
Random smaller non-receipt-required transactions charged for wellness subsidy or food. Didn't have my CPA so would charge some of my vacation time to CED (studying) to save PTO. When I became a senior and I didn't have anything urgent and was sitting opposite my staff I'd spend a good chunk of the day surfing the internet. As a staff 2 I came across a small difference in testing here and there, and depending on what it was there were times I just didn't record it as a difference and went on my way because it was immaterial, my senior didn't check support, and I just didn't care.
Plugged a number on a return because it was far short of the original estimate provided in phase I. I wasn't explicitly told to do this, it was rather wrapped under the guise of "we have to hit this number otherwise risk losing the client signing for another three years."
I think of calling the ethics hotline, and even though the firm touts "no retribution" policy, I know I will be labeled as toxic to the group and pushed out. We all know if the firm wants to get rid of someone they'll find a way, Ive seen it. Think I'm just going to leave so I don't have to be put in this position again.
You should have called. We actually take stuff like this very seriously - and should. Dont believe you would have suffered retribution.
Sometimes I skip dinner to get work done earlier but if I hit my chargeable hours required for the day, I'll stop by McDonald's on the way home and get something to eat anyways and charge it through.
This seems unethical only for KPMG...
Found a female coworker looking for a sugar daddy on Seeking Arrangement.
Was she hot? And did you reach an arrangement with her...? 😉
Was allowed to work from home one day during off season but was exhausted so just slept all day and billed a full day’s work. Made it up during the following days and Saturday, but never went back and revised my time...
Let’s not lie. A majority of ppl have inflated their hours at some point in time. 🤷♀️
The office environment was unfriendly and cliquish. I was miserable working among jerks. I’ve never experienced such a unprofessional environment ever since. I did stick it out for 2 years and then started interviewing.
One of the office groups was working on a large puzzle in the break room. Took them weeks, but they finally finished. They kept it on one of the tables for everyone to see. My last week there, I found myself alone in the break room looking over that damn puzzle. Without a second thought, I took a red piece from the middle and shoved it in my pocket and walked away.
You
After I separated from my ex-husband, I started seeing a much younger subordinate at work. He didn’t report to me directly, but I did assign him work regularly. Apparently someone saw us out and we were reported. I was asked, point blank, if there was anything going on. I froze up and lied, apparently convincingly enough to keep my job. I rationalized it that I had not done anything unprofessional 9-5 (no favors, etc)... but it was still pretty effed up.
I ended up leaving the company about 60 days later. He left a few months after that. We are now married so, I guess all is well that ends well. 🤷♀️
Age difference needed...
No one should be in that position ey 9. I'd have a major wtf moment if I rolled onto something like that. Would refuse to sign off on something like that.
I neglected my wife and daughter for a week due to an intense project. Try and top that.
