I travel and he doesn't. I love cooking for him. Since I can't do that during the week, I'll sometimes send him surprise takeout. He also has an Amazon wish list that I use to get him some gifts now and then.

He cracks my back even though he hates the sound, puts on fresh sheets right before I come home and takes care of my countless plants.

We bought a small octopus plushie on a vacation that we keep hiding around the house for each other, sometimes with a note. It just makes my day when he texts me that the squid fell out of his shirt or that he found it in the freezer... great fun.

Really sweet and creative, props for that!

We try to say thank you for all the little things - making dinner, doing dishes, taking the dog out, etc. Consistently acknowledging these little things makes us both feel appreciated.

We both travel for work so I have a habit of finding/writing cards/notes and tucking them into his laptop bag or suitcase. I buy him little surprises - a new book, stuff related to his hobbies/interests

Take the love languages quiz, so you know what types of things your SO appreciates most. Honestly, my husband loves me to brag on him in front of people. So when he does something particularly sweet, romantic or helpful, I always post about it on social media. It makes him feel special

I have been dating my GF for 3 years. I feel like I am not appreciated in the slightest bit - I get no “thank you”, I get no acknowledgement of anything I do for us. I’m not asking for her to bow down on like taking the trash out - but I mean some recognition every now and then would mean a lot to me. How do I bring this up?

How do you decide to forgive a SO for lying to you? For a lie of omission. Currently I said that I don’t forgive them but I don’t want to break up and am willing to stay together to see if there’s improvement but I don’t know if that’s fair to them. Basically they introduced me to a friend in friend group at the end of 2019 and never told me they dated... I had my suspicions but kept it to myself. Then I saw an old friend who revealed that they dated 2 years ago and when I asked the SO...

Hi ladies! An old chestnut but would still love to hear your advice: i am fairly certain a key senior stakeholder is being difficult because he perceives me as a senior non white woman trying to boss him around. I have heard that he doesn’t like to surround himself with people cleverer than him in fear of them taking over his job, which to me further confirms this is a possibility. What can/should I do? TIA!

Ladies, I have a townhouse that I'd like to rent out furnished. I'm looking to do long term, but having trouble finding a property management company that will do this (they all say unfurnished). I would like to find someone to manage it for me as I will be out of state. Anyone here rent out properties and have any suggestions on how to go about it or recommendations of property management companies? I'm in Colorado if that helps. Thank you!

Ok so. I have been on this journey for almost a year now to try and 'get to know and love myself' and I'm not there yet. I separated from my ex in March of 2020 and divorce was finalized in October 2020. I'm still sad, lost, angry etc. I'm trying/tried therapy, meditation, ayurveda, self help videos, books, but I'm not happy with myself and I don't think I know myself. I want to be happy alone before I meet anyone new. Any tips or advice on how I can effectively accomplish this? Thank you!

Is it just me or does everyone struggle to make decisions that affect the next few years? (E.g., job, house, car etc.) - I have some criteria and I started to eliminate and then found two options with comparable pros and cons and now just paralyzed in analysis without being able to move forward. Ugh. Everything I could think of I have done - asked for advice, slept on it, taken a walk and looked at everything again but I just feel stuck.

My husband, who had a successful career but is not yet 40, wants to retire and look after our kids while actively investing our money. I enjoy consulting and will gladly keep working. We also have a good amount of savings, mostly fueled by our frugality during his peak earning years. I feel like I need to support my husband’s dreams while negotiating clear terms.
