We are doing meditation together, have 30 min calls to catch up twice a week, and do Netflix Parties once a week.
I am taking the time to learn how to balance work and headspace. I am reading The Productivity Project by Chris Bailey.
Also, I am reading books that don’t have to do with business or strategy. It’s so neat to jump into a topic that is new and different.
This all sound like a good idea. We are planning to do happy hour Video chat.
We do virtual watercooler chats from time-to-time.
We do 30 min weekly coffee talks via video to talk about things we are doing to keep ourselves engaged while in quarantine. Whether that be learning a new language, meditation etc. We also have fun seeing each others kids!
I think where you can make it personal is where it’s been best. We’ve done house tours, show and tells, happy hours, met each other’s kids and pets, etc via zoom. But zoom fatigue is real so it can easily go overboard. Giving people the option to turn off cameras when they feel like it is important too.
Some folks are doing virtual Zumba sessions...
As an HR team we do virtual check ins, but individually I work out and meditate
