What are the best bars for meeting other ivy league type / career minded people in their mid 20s both to make friends and find a relationship? Are certain neighborhoods better than others?

I don’t know where this bar would exist, but it sounds terrible.

Your wording isn’t great, but I’ll give you the benefit of the doubt. 😂 It sounds like you want networking events, not a specific bar. Find out if your college’s alumni association has any events. But also, examine your biases.

You have to be committed. You can leave after one year, but you have to show up in Saturday for two hours.

Lots of pre-MBA Finance types do Minds Matter. It’s frankly the best social circle I have seen outside of work.

I would try Dallas BBQ. Any of their locations should work.

Hot take: OP is an intern.😉

funny

You could just wear an assortment of Ivy League shirts everywhere you go

funny

I feel like lots of international students wear Harvard shirts when they went to other schools

likefunny

There is Yale club... Though unfortunately they let in kids from UVA.. the horror
Btw UVA is a way better school than I went to, I just wanted to ridicule OP

likefunny

UVA counts as ivy type imo

I’m sorry to say that if you aren’t meeting these people through connections that you formed in your Ivy League college you did Ivy League wrong 🤷‍♂️

likefunny

I don’t think any young people hang out at those clubs.

Went to the Princeton club one time and all I saw were old guys talking about playing cricket

like

As an ivy league alum i dont even want to say ‘hanging out with non ivy league friends who arent in the same career path as me can be fun!’ Because a) this is obvious and b) its embarrassing that id even feel the need to explain that. If you want to hang out with people from similar backgrounds then meet friends through your friends at work/ from college and if you have none then take a moment to reflect on your priorities and where the problem lies instead

like

lol. Just go to Harvard Club or Yale Club. Unless you’re not actually Ivy League?

funny

Your local polo grounds might be a good place to try.

Interesting. Now pay $8 lmao

I would tell you, but I’m not Ivy League. Even with 3 degrees. Oh well!

like

Lmao just join the Yale club or Harvard club if you want to be with “career-minded” Ivy kids AKA spoiled rich kids who actually aren’t intelligent nor hardworking but daddy runs a PE firm.

You have issues to work out. I suggest you consider why it’s been so triggering for you to have someone challenge your opinion. I’m done engaging with you.

Try The League.

funny

I have never paid for the League and I got in right after I clicked submit. Most can easily join. Most people there aren’t Ivy League grads and work normal corporate jobs

This person engages in verbal intercourse (discourse)

The mindset of some highly educated people on this app is unbelievable. OP is low key class discriminating here and wants to stay in their ivy bubble

like

OP has no class and also isn’t partner material.

There is this thing called the Ivy plus society which organizes events in NY and SFO.

like

Sounds like OP wants to avoid the “plus” part

funnylike

You can go hang out at the harvard club (or whatever school you went to’s club). Crowd definitely skews older though as you would expect

like

Harvard club ngl has some out there people. Granted I was the youngest person there. Also incredible good deals

like

I imagine a lot of Ivy League types at Columbia

funny

I am a successful PM with good salary and prospects and NOT an ivy leauge. I hang out a local non-fancy cafe in upper east, I could be sitting right next to you now 😂. Just ask around you, sometimes the best don’t gather with top pier groups and experience shows me that a lot that do, are just there to feel or look special

I had a burglary in my apartment. Didn’t take any electronics (from what we can see) but probably took check books and small jewelry. It also appears they were interested in my jewelry box since they dumped the contents of my box on the floor and the contents of my closet. Most of my designer bags seem to be there. What should we do besides call the police and launch a building investigation ?

Hi, question on rent. My rent was 3000 and the property management had raised the rent to $3500 when I signed the renewal(6months lease) in April. However, at the time there was an error for the site that had link to the rent renewal and I never got to sign it. And also they never changed the “due amount” to $3500 on the payment website and I just kept paying $3000 for 4th and I heard nothing from the management. However, just today the mgmt emailed saying “hey you forgot to sign this”, and
