What are the best consulting firms for strategy that are non-MBB? Not implementation and such

Would love any thoughts on my current situation. Worked 1 year at a T2 firm (EYP, OW, S&) and make the transition over to MBB 3 months ago. While recruiting for MBB I was also doing off cycle GE recruiting. The process dropped off and resumed just a couple weeks ago and I’ve received an offer for this summer. Wondering if leaving after 6-8 months in MBB is too short or if I should just take the offer and run w it. Thanks in advance.

(n>100) Exit Ops Breakdown: - Other consulting firms: 7% 38% MBB/T2, 62% LS-focused boutique - B-school: 13% 86% M7; Sloan most frequent - Med school: 13% - law school: 2% - Pharma/biotech: 40% 30% of exits to BMS, Biogen, Genentech - medtechs: 10% 40% flatiron health -healthcare systems: 3% - entrepreneurship: 3% - LS finance/vc: 9%

If moving from D S&O to MBB, do you take a step back? i.e. Manager (big 4) to Consultant/Associate etc (MBB). This true?

Friends, I’m 25, entering my third year in MBB, and I’m so burnt out (I’ve averaged close to 80 hours / week since joining and hate the culture). I’ve always had a passion for public interest law, have worked at an impact litigation firm, and am convinced that going to law school is the answer. I’m afraid that without a big scholarship, I’ll land in big law to pay off loans and will be in the same situation I’m in now (with 100k+ debt). Any advice? Thank you!
