Virtual federal non-supervisory GS-13+ position at an agency that allows maxiflex schedules. Not the most lucrative by a long shot, but generally a strict 40 hours per week, solid medical benefits, and great retirement benefits.
Share this job with me 🙋🏻‍♀️ I’ve been out for a few years and have been trying to get back into any flexible gov’t or even consultant position.

I honestly expect the remote opportunity option to continue to broaden due to the last 4 months of remote work. I would not be surprised to see it be presented in most industries as this continues.
Anything at Facebook. Many roles at Salesforce
You have to be on a lot certain times for scheduled meetings but you can do the rest of your work whenever

Thanks for the insight! Few more questions if you don’t mind. Does this apply to product management and PMM roles as well? Does the team generally have to be global in nature for this to work? Is this due to COVID or has it always been that way? Aside from G do you see the other FAANGM with similar policies?

Been here almost four years and I love it
Staying in consulting. It’s all remote now.
M1 Very good point about becoming less intelligent. There is a huge learning curve in consulting, but you do hit a glass ceiling (varies depending on which consulting league tier you work for) at some point and it becomes more of the same. Law of dominishing returns perhaps?
And then there's the increasing sales expectations, where you definitely start losing touch with the hardcore problem-solving that made the consulting career so rewarding in the first place.
I look at many veterans in my current company and pity them. They've become very adept cogs in the machine that will be useless elsewhere.

Any online business. So many entrepreneurs hire remote talent.
