My firm (nyc) has been back in office since September. We still have WFH policy but it feels like if you’re choosing to WFH even one day a week you’re slacking. Anyone else?
Any McKinsey 🐠 (specifically Implementation) able to share insight to McKinsey's WFH/future of work approach? Job description says "join teams virtually across the country", but I know I am expected to relocate.
Looking for a Senior Art director, temp to perm. Remote but based in NYC if we ever work in-person again. Please DM me for more info!!!
For all teachers and admin! Please check out this resource to help kids transition back after remote learning and hybrid models. Made by a teacher (me) who did remote learning all year. Specifically made for teachers with guiding questions and a sequencing activity. Looking for thoughts on base comp ranges for the following: - 12 YOE (mostly in industry) - ETL, analytics, and BI heavy experience (SQL) - Technical background but a lot of business/ops team interaction as well - Leaving B4 consulting to go back to industry - Prefer Senior IC role, but overseeing 1 - 3 jr analysts ok - Live in a LCOL state - 5+ years remote working experience - fintech, martech exp - some python/r
Hi team. Hope you all are well and safe. I will be joining Accenture in two weeks, want to get some understanding on the current policy on remote work and return to office date if there is one. I am currently in Seattle, WA, USA. Thank you!
Please help to decide the best offer based on CTC & WLB. 1. Capgemini: 17.1 fixed + 1.9 variable 2. R system: 21 fixed + 1 L JB ( WFH permanent) Current : 7.5 YoE: 7.1 years
First day as scrum master and for a new team, any tips? I’m not used to gathering a team that’s 100% remote and am trying to figure out creative ways to get the team engaged.
Canada here, asking for a friend - is it possible to not allow an employee to wfh given the circumstances? Even when the firm is technologically capable? My friend doesn’t feel comfortable going in.
Whats your go-to meal when cooking a quick lunch while WFH? Lately I’ve been making roasted sheet pan veggies (sweet potatoes, red onions, broccoli, asparagus and seasoning) and it’s epic. 20 minutes on medium heat and then 5 on broil. Love it!
I'm returning back to the office this week after too long of a time being comfortable wfh. Ready to quit without a backup plan and am okay with it.
Can anyone speak to culture of the EC/VC and M&A groups at WSGR? Looking at remote positions. Thanks!
Feeling guilty for taking a 30/45 mins lunch break and finishing the day before 7pm. But I guess I finished my tasks for the day and I can just tackle the rest tomorrow. Is that acceptable. I feel like I lost track of when to stop since WFH
Any agencies giving people time off for the one-year anniversary of WFH? I heard WK is completely closed today.
Has your firm done any fun/unique remote events? I have seen things online for remote chocolate or wine tasting - that sort of thing - has anyone had experience with these? What company did you use?
Hi all, I’m a IT strategy consultant working remotely by contract. I’m also doing management consulting for startups and small companies. Fluent in English and French, intermediate in Portuguese, I’m available for remote opportunities in Europe and Americas. I have consulting experience in a big4 firm and professional services of a software company. The sectors where I have the most experience in : Finance, Government, Logistics and Smart cities. Please feel free to reach out!
What’s your WFH outfit looking like? I’ve been sticking to a polo up top since I do some video conferences, but it’s been PJs and joggers down low
I’d love to discuss best practices for leave management. Anyone have any tips on which systems to leverage (HRIS, etc.) and approval workflow that they’d like to share? 🙂
Previous firm culture was all about the people, new firm is all about being the best... I knew the stereotype here was about being *the best*, but didn’t realize that people who buy into firm culture/values just repeatedly talk about how “we’re the best,” and, “we work REALLY hard bc we’re the best!!” I’m trying to commit, but end every internal call where I hear these words feeling like 🥴😶🙄. At least at the old firm there were relationships to back up the people piece and make it relatable.
When you track your travel expenses, do you include booked (and paid) travel for NEXT year as a current year expense or a next-year expense? I have separate excel workbooks for 2021 and 2022 but am curious what the norm is!
Has anyone jumped from Big 4 Advisory to Tier 1 Consulting firms (e.g. MBB). Was the jump at the same, higher or lower level?
Deloitte Human Capital vs. Accenture Strategy, which one is better for Corporate Strategy exit? Will be joining as post-MBA level
I really like my job. It took 18 years but I'm finally doing something I'm good at, enjoy, and get decent money to do. I do not want exit opps or hotel points.
EY 🐠: Base comp range for M2 or M3 in EY SAP practice (Houston office). Have an interview coming up next week and rather not waste anyone’s time if EY base comp is lower than Accenture.
Parents-how do you feel about daycares opening? Ours never closed but we kept kids home. Our company is WFH for the foreseeable future & it’s hard to reconcile daycare isn’t the same risk as an office
Does it make sense to boomerang back to big 4 just to brand my resume for exit ops in moving to industry in the future? I’m two years away from manager and my plan is to leave public once I make manager. My thoughts are exit opps will be greater if I leave from a big 4 AAS group rather than leaving from my current middle market firm, but does it really matter leaving from a middle market vs big 4?
I’m curious to hear from people at other firms what is offered in terms of part time work or alternative work options for people that don’t really care about making partner and might want to work part time. I just had my second child and want to ask to come back from maternity leave on a part time basis but our firm doesn’t seem to have anything in place right now. If your firm offers this, what’s the billable requirement, how much of a pay cut is it, and do you still get benefits? Thanks!
Hi, I'm looking for book recommendations on mortgages / financing your first real estate deal. Any recommendations? Let me know if you have any general book recs for first time homeowners. Thank you!
Looking at you MBB & FAANG
Offer from Capgemini for 125k (10% yearly bonus, 3% sign on) as a SC. Not sure it’s enough to leave big 4, I’m up for senior soon. It’s about 30% increase in base.
Why is there such a salary difference between M in US consulting vs M in UK consulting. 80k pounds is not same as $150k.
Hello! A senior associate that I work for is expecting and she will be going on parental leave soon. She has been a great mentor to me and so I wanted to get/send her a gift congratulating her on the new baby once she goes on her leave. Any ideas for a gift? (We aren’t incredibly close so it doesn’t seem as easy as shopping for a friend/family member who just had a baby, if that makes sense) TIA!
First year lateral to K&E remote position. Entertaining taking this. Should I expect a signing bonus and/or to be made whole re: year end bonus and covid bonus?
Looking to move firms from the Midwest to the Pacific Northwest to be closer to family next fall. when would I start applying? Should send introduction/exploratory emails before?
