I am planning to move to San Jose and looking out for salary range offered to audit seniors. I am in the middle of my CPA and just need to pass one more paper. Also I have audit senior experience with EY as contractor for 5 months and 3 years of Audit Senior experience with a mid size audit firm based in houston. I have been working in IT Audit (Internal and Third Party) for the last few years and have recently made a move to a cyber security role at almost entry level in a growing product based firm. While I am really happy about the future prospects here, I don’t want to look lost when I actually begin working. Since I have been in an audit role my entire life, what all resources can I refer to for continuous upskilling? I’d like to have sky as the limit here and would appreciate any help!

What domain are you specialized in, level, YOE, location, and base salary? I got asked a salary question today by a recruiter and now I’m curious if the numbers I gave were ridiculous or not.

A majority of the technical cyber job postings near me are positions around working in a SOC for threat intelligence, incident response, etc.

Pros and Cons of entering this area of cyber? (Been in cyber for a few years, but never worked in a SOC though)
