2. WLB: what are the avg. work hours in D? How does it compare with MBB?
3. Culture: How would you describe the work culture at D? Has it improved over the past year?

T2 PMM vs MBB if goal is PM at FAANG and then startup?

Principal from a T2 firm in SE Asia. In discussions with one of the MBB for a Sr. Principal / AP role and one of the B4 for Partner role.

I’ll try to assess the cultural fit and where do I feel better opportunities for growth & commitment from current partners. Beyond that, 2 questions from the group:

1. In short term, I anticipate that B4 Partner financial offer will be better. However, would you say that MBB partners make more in longer term?
2. Any other guidance from the group here?

Looks like MBB requires SAT, had a 4.0 in college but only a 1410 SAT - will this kill my chances?

Has anyone seen someone in big4 M&A tax switch to a generalist consulting role at T2/MBB? Not expecting tenure to transfer. People at the ~consultant level have said it’s basically an impossible switch, so I’m looking to see if PPMDs share that sentiment.

When I was headhunted for the job, ESG was a relatively new concept and too few companies hire for related positions. I didn't find any salary range from Glassdoor or anywhere so I had no idea. My fault was I did not ask the HR and just gave my asking salary. When I saw a similar post from my company (I was already hired that time), they were already including the pay range and I realized mine was way below. I'm already 2.8 yrs in the role.

Imagine for a moment that all strategic consulting firms in the region would have consultants work no later than 9pm. Do you think the quality of the output would decrease? Or maybe the pricing the client is willing to pay would be lower? Or perhaps nothing would happen? I am thinking whether we work long hours because it’s by now part of work approach and culture or because we need to. (Personal experience: in London for my same firm I used to work much less and the output was great…)
