Similar to what others said, it’s highly dependent on the field you’re seeking....but Bristol Myers Squibb is also a good choice for this situation.
What roles? I only have an MS and never found it hard getting offers for strategy and ops roles in big pharma. Novartis / Roche / Pfizer / AbbVie etc
A lack of scientific background (even BS) will limit you outside of the commercial organization. Still have a path to C suite from what I can tell.
Op - it really depends on what area you are talking about. Commercial? Clinical? Supply chain?
Clinical/research/medical needs an advanced degree most places. On the other hand commercial requires least amount of advanced degrees and can be compensated via experience well.
As P1 wrote - not dependent on pharmaco but on functional area. On the average, big pharma and mid-large cap biotech is friendlier than small biotech for non-advanced degree holders
For clarification, I am interested in BD, Strategy, or Commercial...~3 yoe at top LS strategy consulting firm
OP for commercial roles, the three companies you mentioned generally tend to value length / quality of consulting experience more and care much less about advanced degree (though obv a nice to have).
Some companies (eg Regeneron) just culturally tend to prefer PhDs in general - even for commercial roles that don’t necessarily require one.
All subjective but you’re on the right track with the three you mentioned
Any other insights into companies that culturally prefer PhD/MD?

Yeah then you’ll be set for commercial and maybe BD or strategy
Totally depends on what area you are targeting. For example I exited to a medical affairs role in big pharma and all of my colleagues have either a PharmD, PhD, MD. Not the case in other areas at our company though.
