Considering MBA because I did liberal arts in undergrad, but already have McK and HYPS on my resume. From a pure learning and career advancement perspective, is an MBA worth it (e.g. to learn accounting theory, take industry-relevant electives, signal to future employers)? I work in IB at a boutique. Most of my work revolves around debt capital raises / management consulting type work for municipal issuers. I have been involved in VERY limited M&A transactions as well but they involve the public / healthcare sector. My question to you is, if I want to do private equity, do I need to get more M&A sell side experience asap first? Or could I just go to a T10 MBA and recruit out of there and join a mega or MM fund?

So since direct promote Cs in legacy Parthenon are now being paid 75% of what they’ve been promised for three years (and 75% of what their post-MBA counterparts, who take 6+ months to become effective in the job, will be making), is it fair to assume they’ll only be expected to work 3 of every 4 weeks? I have 329 GRE and will be attending a Top 10 MBA in the USA and worried about GMAT now if I need to take it or not or if GRE is enough to try my luck for an internship in these firms? Are EMBAs less prestigious than a full time MBA? Would it be better to do a EMBA at a top 15 program and then jump, or would the full time program set you up for better opportunities/total comp?

Is the PERM labor Certification - ETA 9089 usually shared by employers? I have soft copies of the I140 notice and approval, but not the ETA 9089... what should I do? Will this be required when a new firm that i join files for H1b transfer and/or I140?
