I’m a big fan of the ClearAdmit website. They have a podcast on there and if you go back to the early episodes they break down applications, scholarships, interviews, etc. They are very knowledgeable! I am the first in my family to go through this process and listening to the podcast (along with a lot of work) helped get me into Kellogg and HBS in round 1 this year!

Thank you! That’s awesome going to look it up now

By process, do you mean the elements of an application / the time-line? If so, a programs website is honestly a fine start as they provide an overview of all of this. There are also some helpful YouTube videos out there if you want to understand the process at a high level.

like

Yeah! More overall how to get started , scholarship resources or even the best schools within budget.

I truly recommend reading the book “you should totally get an MBA” by Paul Ollinger. It breaks everything down to you from why to apply to how the process works - and the humor in it makes it a fast read. Good luck!

I’m in a rather peculiar situation. I have been in the HR field going on 4 years, I have over 11 years of management experience, I got my PHR last year and I recently graduated with my MBA with a concentration in HR this month. I am ready for a more challenging role. However, there doesn’t seem to be much available at my current company. However, I am going on 5 months pregnant with the expectation of being out in October. I feel like once I mentioned my pregnancy I was in a holding pattern.

Hi Folks,
Having 3YoE in procurement research and now in a research team at an MBB, I feel I've reached plateau learning-wise. Have been focused in Chemical domain throughout.

I now intend to explore roles on client(Chemical Companies) side (like SCM, Planning, Strategy) but unsure how do I go about it.

What should be an ideal career roadmap for someone like me. How should I prepare/do in order to pivot towards those roles?

PS. I'm a BE Chemical Engineering, and no MBA.

TIA!

Is there an app to target specific houses or streets for when they go on market?

There are certain houses located along certain portions of some roads that I don't drive by regularly. But I would love to know if any of them ever go on the market.

I was thinking it would be great to have a Google maps like app that you could browse and select a bunch of houses and eventually get a notification if any of them ever go on the market.

Or, is there any other low effort way of doing this?

How many unqualified candidates are there for HSW? I.e. I’m interested what the ‘real’ competition and admission rates are after adjusting for candidates with a realistic chance of getting in. Assuming 50% of all applicants have no realistic chance, then admission rates would be closer to 20-40% than 10-20% among solid candidates.
