Aspen Snowmass is fun
Jackson Hole is pretty incredible
Snowbird/Alta
Jay peak for east coast hands down
Thanks M1 but the original thread was for all US not east coast
Rising Star
Big Sky / Jackson Hole for grit ski vibe
Vail / beaver creek / park city for rich mom vibe
A vote for Big Sky cause Montana
Jackson, Snowbird/Alta, Mammouth, Copper are my tops
Vail
Jackson, Park City, Alta
All answers not in the Rocky Mountains are invalid except Mammoth. Preferences will vary but Alta, Snowbird, Big Sky, Park CityX Jackson Hole, Aspen, Taos, and (if Canada counts) Revelstoke are all superb and you can’t go wrong.
On the other hand it’s easy to go wrong with Tahoe and New England.
Yeah, I loved Baker when I lived in the PNW.
Snowmass
Depends on how good of a skier you are
What if you’re a bad skier but still enjoy it?
Park cities
Park city blows compared to even other mountains in Utah. Park city is only fun if you're a bad skier and have family with you.
Anywhere with snow
You guys are getting snow?
Mammoth, Kirkwood, Palisades , Snowbird, Mt Bachelor, Jackson, Big Sky. All of these have unique feels and offerings.
Rising Star
Has anyone skied alyeska? How was it? I always thought that would be fun.
I have not but I’ve read that the resort itself isn’t great. The views are fantastic but the lift access and mountain are ok compared to mountains in the Rockies
Big sky in montana is pretty unreal, Mammoth in California is my favorite
Butternut, Catamount and Hunter, with Otis Ridge thrown in for honorable mention.
