- I can use a watch face that shows my home time zone
- can confirm our 2FA logins without looking for my phone
- can set timers to vibrate which is great for presentation timing
- fitness tracking encourages me to be less of a slob
- it seems less rude to look at your watch to read notifications than pull out your phone
- with a $5 stand it makes a good bedside clock, and checking the time doesn’t light up my phone
I really enjoy it for meetings. You know we always get a ton of messages/notifications throughout the day, that aren’t worth taking your phone out and disrupting a meeting for. With a quick flick of the wrist you can realize the Yankees game is delayed or your buddy wants to know what you think about this album that just dropped. Totally important stuff, but not important enough to be rude to the client and take out your phone during a meeting for.
I look at it as just one more gadget to charge every day apart from laptop(2 if you carry your personal one) ,personal phone, work phone and now a watch ..if they could go without charge for 5 days..I would go for it
Notifications and workout are what I love about mine. Also, I have Apple Music, so being able to go to the gym / on a run with all my favorite music on my watch (without the need for my phone) is a killer feature IMO.
Also Apple Pay is highly under rated.
You can find a series 1 for ~$200 on sale. For that price it’s a bargain, considering the fact that it could save your life one day 🤷🏻♂️
@D1 I like using my watch on a stand as a night time clock, it charging at the same time is a bonus

It's so ugly
I have been using apple watch for ~2 years and feel a little bored now. Switched back to my regular watch a few weeks back. It was fun in the beginning but not anymore. Also, I have a series 1 which has a ton of sync issues with new iOS and when I went to the Apple store the "genius" bar guy said: Yeah the only thing you can do is drop another $700 for a new one.
I only use mine during the workweek. And set only to notify me of urgent messages (family, school)
