Hey fellow salespeople! I am 2 years into my tech sales career and have moved quickly from SDR to AE to Sr AE, always a top performer. The company I’m at has been going through a lot of changes/restructuring from leadership down, over the last year since going public, and quota is getting harder and harder to hit across the board. (Not making the same kind of money after these comp changes, although it’s “the same OTE”)—- what is your best advice on what to do? -a burnt out AE

Hi all. I am licensed in life, accident and health and am looking for new opportunities. I am a high performer, but not sure I’m valued much at all . I want to reach the top and become partner in my career ; this is why I went to work for a small firm. When my boss was elevated to Sr Director over many depts, we were promised a manager role would open. That FTE was given to another dept. I have an interview with another division in the same org, it would be lateral move but a growing division. How can i leverage that for a leadership position in my current area? Or should I move on?

Which offer should I accept? Currently staff 2 at big 4 in Tax with CPA license. I want to leave tax ASAP. Both are public companies +1B in revenue and same salary. Offer 1 - staff revenue accountant so reading contracts, speaking with the sales team and legal team, a lot of work at the end of the months to close books and reconcile transactions to make sure we are ASC 606 compliant. This track usually leads to director of revenue. Offer 2 - internal audit staff so SOX and compliance projects.

Recalling my first onboarding meeting in-house with the c - suite. Thinking back now recalling that they would often mention if someone they are referring to is a woman. For example, "Oh we have these two women doing x, y, and z and they do it well, a well-oiled machine." etc. I was the only woman in the room. They did not mention when someone performing a particular role was a man but they did point out when it's a woman, happened about four times. Odd, no? What would you make of this?

How do you strategically answer the question “what is your expected pay range?” when the pay range listed is $20-$40/hr (salaried) and you want to negotiate towards $45/hr?
