Hi Fishes, I have offers from PwC(risk advisory) and IBM(app development). Thing is that the PwC joining is at Kolkata location but I don't want to go there and stay. There is not much difference between the offers in terms of package(10 & 10.4). Can I ask PwC to provide WFH or change my office location for this? Deloitte EY PwC KPMG

SCs tend to come in at around 5 years xp
Expect 0%. Managers at equivalent firms join as SCs.
Leveling down is pretty common. Want to give people the opportunity to prove themselves rather than risk being dropped in over their heads. Plus, those that make title a sticking point tend to be a bad fit.
DD1 no. We can't hire experienced in as Consultant. Really pisses me off when recruiting gives me candidates with under 2 years experience since we can't hire them at the appropriate level.
Three years is barely a consultant.
Consultant possibly, most likely analyst. Especially coming in from advisory
Sorry to hijack the post but what about 2 years in strategy at another big 4? Would the jump likely be to Consultant in S&O?
I interviewed as SC and was hired as consultant.
I'm a consultant at ACN interviewing for SC right now with 4 years experience and it's going well so far.
They don't really decide your level until after the interview. They almost always bring you in a level below what you'd expect but comp will still be higher.
Not necessarily true. The coworker that referred me was also a C at ACN that interviewed for and is a SC at Deloitte.
I was told during the Deloitte interview process that It is nearly impossible to go up a level. If there is a major case (you bring in a client) it'll happen.
That's a lie. I came in exp hire as a consultant
Sorry I didn't mean Consultant. I meant BTA.
