What are the differences in work between EY audit in the US and EY in European countries? Are workloads as big and stressful?

I mean we can't even audit cash in Europe so I think it's pretty chill there

This was a savage response

You get all of August off in Europe

OP- you have your facts wrong. For one Europe isn’t a country and what they do in one country they don’t do in another.

EY offices in EU have more respect to one's time and leave days.

Not ask offices

It all depends on your office and country. Is there a particular country that you are curious about?

EY4 has it right. Work-life balance is valued more. There’s a lot of work here especially at the senior level (consistent everywhere). However, I feel that everyone works less even with heavy workloads. There are a lot of expats which is cool. If you’re thinking about an opportunity there, I’d say go for it ☺️

But I am speaking from my experience that I have learned more here in the USA. I feel more valued here. What I miss while I was in EU is having weekends without thinking about work.

I work more than 40 hr weeks…in Switzerland, the work week is 42. However during busy season, I was pushing 55 hour weeks. It was better than what I worked in the US. I had people telling me that I was working too much and to go enjoy my time here.

I have a job, and I’m grateful that I do! But it makes me extremely unhappy. I’m talked down to constantly, our client treats us like we’re dumb and they have no trust for the creative team, and I’m constantly anxious. How do I find a new gig during these (forgive me for saying this) unprecedented times? Or what do I do/say if I want to switch accounts within my agency? I need some advice from other women who’ve been through this and succeeded at finding something that makes them happier.

What is your hourly rate? Since, I’m 95% fee based. I don’t have an hourly rate for consultations or FP reviews. I was recently asked, what my hourly rate is for advising . Didn’t have an answer.
