I’ve always been so assured that B4 and partnership were ultimately what my career needed to be, but now the allure of staying in mgmt consulting is slowly becoming less attractive and that I need to start considering these bigger tech companies. Has anyone had similar realizations and finally made the move to FAANG with no regrets?
anyone here an entrepreneur? I have a PhD in org psych and 20+ years in Big 4 human cap... starting up my own firm and wondering about billing rates. what hourly rate do you charge for your services?
If you were going to be a partner in a national non-big 4 firm, which one would you pick and why?
Hey all, I’ve recently joined EY consulting from another Big 4 and have noticed there’s no discipline (at least in my team) around codes and charging time. People either charge a standard 7 hrs or some will charge time spent on internal activities to their client code. I was told that “the last person to charge their actual hours worked was promptly booted off the project”. Just wondering: 1) Is this a general cultural point accross all Consulting teams? Will challengin this get me in trouble?
Any folks who have shifted from a consulting/big 4 to start ups in the last couple of years. How is the experience. What should be the expectations if you have a tech functional experience of 3 years in Deloitte USI
What are thoughts on EY. They have called me and want to chat with me about taking over a service line in my city. I am at a top 10 firm now and is my second stop as a partner in PA. I don’t want to be constantly moving firms but opportunities keep coming up at larger and larger shops. No prior B4 experience so needing a little insight if it is worth it.
Hi guys, How's ZS Risk and IT compliance team ? How is the work life balance and work culture? How much can I ask for ? Currently working in a Big 4 having 2.5 years of work experience. Current CTC : 6LPA Any update on this front is highly appreciated.
How many overtime hours pay did you all receive as an analyst? In my offer, it stated I will be eligible to receive overtime pay as a CDP analyst so how much more $$$ is that for the year? 3k? 5k? Etc I’m currently deciding between Accenture and big 4 right now.
Hi everyone, I’m a student interning at a MM CPA firm in the assurance practice. However, I’d like to transition into TAS at a big 4. I’ve had past internships in VC and HF, but am still having trouble getting past initial screening and have little to no alumni in TAS to reach out to when attempting to network. Has anyone had the same experience as me or can anyone help me out? Thanks!
Tips for transitioning from big 4 (ITS) to big law as a JD? Heard getting an LLM is pretty much the only way but not sure if I wanna do that
I’ve decided to make my career in the government side of consulting. Been doing it 10 years. Seems hard to find jobs where I manage people unless at a big 4. Anyone else find this true?
Hello. I’m currently working in management consulting at a Big 4 and considering switching to cloud outside of my firm. I have no cloud experience, so starting from scratch. Considering starting with AWS practitioner certification, then Certified Solutions Architect - Associate, plus getting some practical experience by being staffed on cloud projects at my firm. What job and compensation can I expect in the market after this? Any other skills you would recommend to be more competitive? ty
Does anybody here work at HCE, would you please share your experience, especially if they moved from a B4?
Hello All, is any firm open to hiring a senior consultant specializing in Data Analytics and ML. I have 6 years of experience with 3 years in USA in Big 4. I would require a work authorization visa to work in Germany.

What’s the rank hierarchy like in IBM? Where would an “Associate Partner” sit in comparison to a big 4 consulting firm? Got an offer I am evaluating
What's a solid answer for "why do you want to work at X company?" The big 4 and even their MM competitors like RSM are all basically identical...
Recruiting pitch! Recently left EY (I was so unhappy) for a smaller firm that really emphasizes WLB. Salary is decent, benefits are great, hours are reasonable, and the people are awesome (most are ex big 4 but with none of the attitude). We also get overtime pay if you happen to work more than 40 hours (!!) We have a ton of needs (seniors and up) right now so pls DM me if you enjoy the work you do but hate the hours/stress/lack of balance/independence requirements 🤗
Is busy season over yet? 🙄

Anyone ever think about getting IQ tested? Serious question just to find out. Or is it too douche and/or highly unnecessary.

Thinking of sending my resume around to companies with interesting offers in my area. Should I still be writing cover letters or can I just send out the resume and call it a day?
S&O question: What/ who is that in the bowl logo? Is that our official logo? Is he praying or about to kick someone's butt? If I grow a beard like that...client acceptable?

Anyone know any good certs or training woth credentials that don't cost a premium, like ProSci does?
My firm is rolling out a new password policy that requires two factor identification. The program they selected for this requires an app on your phone. Currently, they don’t provide firm devices to most attorneys. Am I wrong to think they should if they’re requiring us to install apps to do our day-to-day work?
Anyone a second gen immigrant whose parents sacrificed a lot for your opportunities? I want to be able to pay my parents back in some way...
A friend sent me this - infertility what to say and most importantly what not to say. I think I need to print it in bulk and keep handy for all those random people that try to give me advise.
MBB interviewers: How often do you receive S&O candidates from FAANG applying to your firms, at the pre-MBA level?
Anyone experienced the “climber” administrator? I’m taking about the ones who are using the job as a stepping stone to something else.
Struggling to evaluate an offer and would like some help. currently make ~150/8/10ish base/bonus/RSU, ~170ish all in excluding benefits. I would be transferring to a startup with a base of 180k with equity. The benefits at my current job amount to maybe a few k more than at the startup. So, overall my cash compensation amounts to roughly the same or a slight increase. The potential upside is the equity. Is that small comp increase enough to warrant leaving a big company, even with equity?
