Making partner at MBB is superfast this guy on LinkedIn made partner after 6.7years. Explain to me?
MBB fish: Thoughts on 2 vs. 4 months transition if you knew exactly what you wanted to do and wouldn’t need more than 2 months for it to get panned out. Why would you still take 4 months?
Folks who moved from MBB to a top-tier tech firm (E.g. FAANG): how does the talent compare between the two?
Folks who left MBB at the 1 year mark - what did you dislike and has the new job offered what you wanted?
How does MBB view people who join and stay for just a year? Specialist (non generalist - data science) if it matters. Do they hold it against you? Due to a personal situation I may have to leave but I'm not interested in staying at my current job for another year.
Leaving MBB after 1 year 5 months. Too short?
Whats a typical MBB experienced hire Project/Case/Engagement Manager/Leader Signing Bonus?
Started at a T2 consulting firm not too long ago. Worth switching to MBB to break into PE?
What’s working at MBB like for software engineers? Are they good places to grow technical sophistication? Is it mostly ent service integration? How does it compare w/ working at a large product shop?
What are post-MBA MBB salaries in Europe and Asia? I keep hearing that they’re a lot lower than in the US but I’m trying to understand how material the difference is. (I’m asking because I’m debating between an M7 and intl MBA program.)
What are the stats on up or out at MBB? Any rough percentages? Does it vary widely across MBB or fairly similar?
Who has transitioned from MBB to Private Equity? What is the pay difference and would you do it again?
Fair to assume all of MBB to be “Thought Leaders” in Media & Entertainment? If not, what consulting firms are?
Seems like a lot of questions on partner comp and net worth. Here is the rule of thumb: 1) Big 4 partners make $600K to $1.5m based on seniority and practice. 2) MBB partners make $1m -3m based on seniority Typically your expenses are between $100-300k. Add Taxes to it, that’s the amount you add every year. About 6-10% return yearly on the savings. So net worth of partners are probably between $3m to $20m depending on which company and seniority, investment profile, etc. Where am I wrong?
Has anyone exited to a FAANG equivalent (uber, airbnb, Tencent) from Big4, then further exited into MBB? Interested in seeing if it’s a possibility
On ApplicantLab, the coach goes on quite a bit about having a lot of white space on your resume (easy on the eyes), etc etc. This is totally wrong, right? Ive explicitly a Wharton admissions officer say to use margins to your advantage (pack more stuff in) and have seen an application guide at an MBB, where the resume templates include very little white space. Obviously every word should be valuable, but just wanted to check my sanity here since AppLab offers good advice elsewhere.
Sometimes I wonder if the anxiety and anticipation leading up to the school year is/will be worse than when we're actually in the classroom, doing our thing, day in and day out. I hope so!
I just had an interview and really hope I get the position. But even if I do, I think they are gonna offer me 75K and I have 3 busy seasons under my belt. I feel like that is too low for me to leave..
I recently accepted an offer to join a firm next Fall. I was wondering if the firm would rescind my offer if I don’t complete my second major(not related to the job role/function) because I realized that I would have to overload in courses for my spring semester.
Where can I find example consulting bullet points for my resume? I’m having trouble summing up 3 project experiences into 3 bullets
Have an opportunity to move anywhere in the US as fully remote now. Have two young kids. What could be some good places to move within US?
Does anyone at Accenture have insight on if candidates that received verbal offers prior to Covid-19 will still get written offers within the coming months?
So I fly basically for free Globally - working for a major Airline perk - what's a way I can make a LEGAL business using my benefits. -Unlimited Flights FYI
Have you ever...had a parent email you asking you to come teach their kid at their house?!?!?
How do you negotiate vacation time? For example, if I have a trip already cleared that’s about 9-10 days off in the next 2 months at my firm but go in-house (final round upcoming with me and another candidate meaning it’s at least 50/50), I don’t really want to start and then lose say 10 of 15 allotted vacation days right away. Anyway to negotiate those as exempted? Apologies if a stupid question, pretty new to this process

Can I trade my upvotes for a higher raise?
Ladies, I had a breakthrough with my boyfriend and I am so proud. I have encouraged him to go to therapy for years. He grew up with a father who is emotionally abusive. He felt like he didn’t need to go because he could just “handle it” (part of the toxic culture he was raised in) so I stopped pushing. Yesterday he told me he was going to therapy to try it out, I said okay, and made him a coffee to go. He came home, hugged me, cried, and read me a list of things he was working on. 🥺💛
Has anyone interviewed at Salesforce for a business architect role in the customer success group? What are the technical interviews like?
How would you go about telling a company you don’t want to do anymore interviews? I was originally told probably two or three, then “one last one”, and now “potentially two more”. In each interview, they talk like I have the role and keep asking how much notice I would need to give as if they’re in a rush to get me in, but then schedule another round of interviews. Honestly the interviews seem more like meet and greets. Cont.
