Consistent 50/week

Depends entirely on the practice - I work 40 in IAER and 45s occasionally. 50s sometimes because we are understaffed. Come work for us

40-50 is the norm. This year has been crazy due to the red hot markets.

Yikes

Just glad to hear it’s under 60 and not as bad as the other big 4 firms for advisory.

What are the most useful online courses in the DevOps space that I could take? They don't necessarily need to be free, but if Pluralsight/Coursera/etc. has a better group of offerings than another, I could budget 1 subscription. Ideally they'd be platform-agnostic, and/or cover multiple toolsets, as I am consultant and my assignments will be largely dependent on what the customer has.

Partners or whomever can help me understand about billing and hours. To keep things simple, let’s say you only have one staff to work 1,700 billable hours a year on a $60k salary and you have only one job that and the rate charged to the client is $300/hour and an projected hours budget of 1,700 hours. So ideally you would have revenue of $510k. If the staff takes less time partners make less money and if they take more time partners make more money while the staff keeps the same salary?

I'm not actively looking but would like to activate the option on LinkedIn that lets recruiters know that I am open to opportunities when/if I come up on their searches.

Does anyone know if turning this feature on comes up as a notice to my connections? I would like to avoid this as I have some colleagues from current firm, including a Partner.

Hi tax 🐠,

I have a question for those who prep individual tax returns. My parents claim my grandfather as a dependent on their tax return and due to their low income, receive PTC for the premiums they pay on his insurance (not eligible for medicare). However, would it be advantageous to have him file for his own tax return (he stays with my parents and doesn't have his own proof of residency via bills). If so, can he get PTC if his income is 0?
