People who have made a job switch to another state in US (H1b transfer) in last 1+ years (since covid) with most companies being remote temporarily the Uscis rule that the employee should be in commutable distance from@office location within 30 days - how is this being taken care?
Question: I withdrew from my 401K during COVID in Nov 2020 because I really needed the money. The penalty was waived bc of Covid. Does anyone know if I can put that money back into my account?
Does anyone have any thoughts about a company terminating an employee within the HR team for testing positive for COVID 19 and further accusing the said employee of being the one that created the entire team to become infected by not answering the health screening questions accurately? The week prior to employee being tested the entire team was in the office sick. The company in question weeks prior wrote the employee up referencing sexual innuendo due to an accusation of a preferred name.
Hi all - I exited into industry during COVID but am missing some of the consulting excitement - I’ve seen a bit about A&M retail group lately and want to learn more (I’d likely be entering at the director level) - anyone care to chat about the firm generally/that group specifically?
There's some news that researchers at PGI Chandigarh successfully developed & tested COVID-19 💉. Can anyone confirm this? I am unable to find a reliable news article but it is being broadcasted on TV
What do y’all talk to your SO about after work. With us both working from home, we are kinda in the loop of what happened all day more or less. Then at dinner we don’t want to talk about more coronavirus or work . Any ideas to get some new conversations going?
Please visit and read this article: https://ourworldindata.org/mortality-risk-covid I routinely assign articles from this site. They’re easy to understand no matter your stats experience. The site is VERY well respected. Ignore what side of the debate you’re on; pause to understand the math of CoVid fatalities. The article is not political. It explains how to calculate case fatality, crude mortality, and infection fatality plus how they can/can’t be used. News from all sides interchange these stats, but they mean very different things.
Sometimes it hurts to think about how well I know some airports. What terminals/airports were you frequenting before covid?

There is no commentary involved in this post, just an interesting datapoint. A friend of mine from grad school now runs a funeral home in rural Colorado. This month, 7 out of her 11 “customers”are COVID deaths. What wild times we live in…

Consider a new pandemic, at what % fatality rate do you think vaccines will mandated by law for all citizens? This is not the last pandemic society will face. COVID has a low death rate compared to Ebola for example. What % fatality rate would it take for governments around the world including the US to legally require mandatory vaccinations of all citizens? Would it be 10%? 20? 50%? fatality rate? Or will we never mandate vaccines in lieu of personal freedom?
My bf’s best friend is getting married Jan 2022. Big Indian wedding in Florida. I’m nervous that the Covid situation will still be a concern then (if not in the US, then in India, as many of the couple’s family are flying over). We need to RSVP soon. What would you do? My bf and I are double vaxxed but...am I too paranoid about the variants?
I want to go with my spouse on a wonderful beach vacation. Our honeymoon (almost two years ago now) was cancelled due to covid, and I had booked us at the St Regis Bora Bora on points. I have been unable to get that deal again, and feel very annoyed. We live on the west coast on the US and would like to go somewhere that is less than 6 hrs of travel, that is romantic, private, quiet, beachy, relaxing. Any resort, boutique hotel or perhaps vacation rental recommendations under $800 a night?
My 4 YO takes riding lessons at a small barn outside of the city. I hopped on a horse there recently for old time's sake, but haven't really ridden in years. A casualty of the legal profession, along with the rest of my hobbies from my former country life. His instructor asked me if I'd be willing to get back in the saddle. Part of me is like, this is the change I need. It will help me lose this COVID-15lbs. But I'm also terrified and I have no idea why. (cont)
Anyone watching the one world together special??! Go Daddy just had the most unique covid commercial i’ve seen so far.
Does anyone have any experience with BCG Platinion Risk Consultant case study interviews? This is my first time doing a case study interview and I'm currently trying to prepare, but most case studies I have found online are more in management consulting. Thanks!
Does healthy debate regarding current events have a role in the classroom these days? Is it supported by staff and administration? I teach littles, so we're not ready, but I'm geniunely curious over how interested or non-interested older students are concerning today's topics...
Should I just bench Tyler Lockett till Russell Wilson is back? Definitely messed up my fantasy team last week

Anyone looking for an apartment with a den for WFH? I locked in a great pandemic deal on a 1 bed + den on the Dorchester/Southie border til next Sept and now have to move for work. Looking for someone to take over my lease. Prices have gone up on their website but they didn’t raise my rent when I resigned ($400 below their rates for newbies at the moment). DM for pics/deets.
I am in interested in a role in the HCM practice at PwC or an HR role within IFS. I would appreciate a referral or just to learn more about your experience. Thank you! 😊
I have a question - why do some hiring managers require a sample project, even from candidates with 10 years of experience in that particular vertical and a portfolio?
Hi, Can anyone guide me how to prepare for the case study round in Accenture Strategy Canada? I'm a lateral hire

Anyone do improv? I’m moving to NYC in a couple months and I’m curious what the scene out there will be like post-covid, and when classes will be opening back up.
I had an interview with a recruiter for a financial company for a GC role. She explained how they were having trouble finding candidates and that I seemed perfect. However, I feel that I'm totally not qualified for the position and that once it goes to the CLO I'll be shot down. Has this happened to anyone before where the recruiter thinks you're perfect but the hiring manager will not?
