Same thing happened to me: Deloitte reached out to me and interviewed for Cyber SC (have my master’s and cleared), offered at C level. I declined - know your value friends
They made the same exact offer to me less than a yr ago and I had a little less than 5 yoe. I decided to decline the offer and accepted with another firm.
Ok manager on Deloitte advisory here
All 5+ YOE for SC is BS
Masters and 3+ , you are straight in as entry level SC ... Don't accept the C offer ...
Don't make the mistake my friend
SC is like 5+ YOE. Deloitte has different levels. SC is another firm is C at D
Disagree. Had Sr offer with ~5 yoe but also previously when I had 3 yoe before my master’s. Don’t take the offer at C
SC at BAH = C at Deloitte. They won’t really bring you in as an SC unless you have 5+ years of experience in consulting and have managed people
Depends if this is Deloitte consulting or Deloitte advisory. Senior consultant in Deloitte advisory is the equivalent of consultant at Deloitte consulting
What level are you at BAH?
I assume you're talking about D GPS. Levels are A/BTA, C, SC, M, SM, PPMD. Those map to BAH's C, SC, A, LA, SA, and P+ levels, respectively.
Your YOE sounds right for a C role, I'd expect you to make the promo to SC in a year or two, though, vs the normal 2-3 years if your experience is consulting experience.
On a side note, D does downlevel experienced hires coming from non-B4 roles on a fairly regular basis, since YOE requirements for experienced hires are generally higher than for homegrown staff. When I was there, almost all of my experienced hire co-workers who came to D from non-B4 roles came in a level lower than we interviewed for, myself included.
C is correct
