Raymond James is Beverly Hills, Wells Fargo is Detroit! Both are in America, but if you had a choice of where to raise your kids, I have a feeling you would consider the prior. But I will admit, I’m bias.
Isn’t Beverly Hills on fire?
Haha OSJ’s always looking for more reps. It’s how you get paid! Honestly the main difference between independent like RJ etc and Wirehouse is the modality and ownership of your clients. If you think you own a business at a Wirehouse wait till you leave and get your ass sued and have your clients called on by all your buddies.
If your interested in going independently, I’d be willing to have a conversation. I’m a OSJ manager looking for additional reps
Also I know that shwab has company FA that get paid a base salary and working as an independent at most you get a small base during training but then it’s all commission and renewals. Also as an independent you actually keep your renewals for life no 3 to 5 years and also some are non captive so you can offer your clients what’s best for them not best for the shareholders.
Main differences
In all honesty, if you go Indy, consider the culture first and support from back office. Also determine what kind of Indy FA you would like to be, there are some firms that are better suited to fit.
Below are a few good options
1. Raymond James
2. Commonwealth
3. Charles Schwab
4. Maybe LPL
Now to VP FA 1
That would be Thousand Oaks and Calabasas...
But nice try.....
WMA1 that’s a real risk. Buddies turn into vulchers when there is free money at stake
