Everyone’s feet are different so it really depends on you and the type of hikes you’re planning. Do you need a boot or a sneaker (trail runner)?
For me, waterproofing is important. For boots, I’d start with Salomon or Danner. Go to a specialty store where a knowledgeable associate can help you

It depends on how you plan to use them. Do you plan on mainly staying on trails? Will your feet get wet? Boulders or scree?
