Try it, I’ve surprisingly connected with a few people here on topics of work advice, thoughts on certain jobs etc. I’ve helped a few folks and vice versa, it may be more common than you think. To be transparent it was never via the networking bar, but it’s not like posting and commenting isn’t anonymous anyway so I don’t see a huge difference.

Yes.... Do it.... Nothing to lose

Yep, Look, if you had one shot or one opportunity. To seize everything you ever wanted in one moment. Would you capture it, or just let it slip?🤷🏽

No worries D1, something wrong with SC1😂😂.

Honestly I am ashamed of my presence and score on FB. The only way to get a high score is to post and comment pure nonsense and s*** talking lol so I wouldn’t reach out here

Yeah, go for it. Why not?

They shouldn’t mind, they turned on networking in FB for a reason. Just say that their profile popped up in one of the FB bowls and you saw that they worked at the company you’re interested in. Ask them if they have a few minutes for a call to learn more about their role and the company.

Consider it a sign and go for it!

Thanks everyone for your encouragement. I’ll take this as a sign to at least reach out however will not mention this back story. I’ll drop in a message on LinkedIn and ask if they are open to having a virtual coffee chat to learn more about the role and their overall experience.

Hey everyone. A bit of an update - so I did reach out to them on LinkedIn but didn’t get any response for a month. So I reached out here. I wrote a really nice message and they did reply but it was a 2 word reply. 😢 not sure how to carry forward this conversation. Seems like forced. May be they are not interested.

Dang, it's been 5 weeks and you're still interviewing? Did you ask to set up some time to talk to them? What were the two words?

Got rejected in technical round for networking profile. Did a lot of hard work to crack interview. But didn't make it. Feeling frustrated. Persons with least knowledge got the job a year before, now gained good experience by working on technologies say that you will be rejected if they refer me to their organization. So frustrated I am. Not getting a break doe a good profile. Blood job has sucked me up.

I’m a tech consultant working in the SAP practice. I’m a second year associate.
