What are the primary differences between Raymond James, LPL, and Wells Fargo for someone considering the Independent channel? Pros and Cons (hybrid broker/RIA model of business)

I left Jones in 2015 and am with Raymond James. I interviewed LPL and Wells, and ultimately RJ was the best fit for me, and our practice. Raymond James provides the most support, by far. If you get with a large group at LPL you might get a higher payout, but there is little support, and not much name recognition across the country, in my opinion. Wells has a terrible reputation due to all the bank mishaps over the past few years, so even though they might offer more money up front, you don’t have to walk around with the Wells Fargo stigma if you don’t go there. We have helped several Jones offices transition to RJ over the past year, plus a UBS team and a Wells Fargo team. We have scale, and can provide a better payout that joining RJ on your own. Our teams still use their own branding, website, etc. From an outsiders perspective they look like they are fully independent, but we handle their compliance and supervision, and we help transition with on-site support. I would be happy to visit with you about our experience, and how we can help.

I think LPL has a better payout but I’m happy at R James. The support is amazing

McKinsey & Company I had a 30 minute screen with a recruiter for a role in Risk. They said they’ll get back to me after speaking with the team. I was then invited to a phone case screen. Does the team you’re being recruited into actually screen your resume and make a “yes/no” decision?

60M people need to be vaccinated. Offering them $1000 each would cost this country $60B. Realistically, you can get to half of that population — $30B. One booster shot for 250M people at 80% uptake — $200B. For $30B - $230B, we can end the pandemic in the USA. Worth it? Edited: add in $5M for an MBB to do this math and put it in a PPT for you. And $50M for a big 4 firm to implement, botch, reimplement.
