Smaller firms tend to have less WLB because they are more reluctant to say “no” to clients—as there’s less clients to go around! In that vein, projects can be less strategic because of a push for revenue—what clients want, clients get, even if it’s not the core focus area of the firm. Also less training for junior staff.

I've had the opposite experience from A1 actually, just depends on the firm.
