This is my first year filing taxes. I earned ~$103k on my W-2 with $20k of that coming from bonuses. I invested 20% of my income into my 401k throughout the year. I receive ~$250 in dividends each quarter through my investments and other than that I have no other income streams. My tax accountant is telling me I owe money this year but I figured I would receive a refund with the bonuses I received (taxed at ~45%) & my 401k investment. Does this seem odd or does it make sense? TIA!

What are some things people forget to do when they buy their first house or that you wish you did? I just went under contract for my first house. I’ve been looking for a year but the whole house coming to market, offer, etc. happened so fast that I’m almost shocked (literally 2 days). Hi Friends , Got offer from Deutsche bank. Salary structure is really confusing here. Please let know is employee and employer pf is included in fixed pay ? Or fixed pay is the inhand salary and both pfs are excluded from this. Fixed pay = Basic + Flexi benefits. There is no CTC mentioned in offer letter . Its just RTC which is mentioned and thats fixed + variable

5 months ago I gulped down a bait which I thought would be good for me but now I am stuck in this company where non tech bcom people work as BA and tell me that tech feasibility of a problem is secondary and business must get what they want. These guys want to store a 400 character redundant line in each row of db wiz 10000 rows. The delivery on timeline is primary focus and solutioning is not. Features, capability, UX etc. Don't account for shit!

My current CTC is : 20L
Offered CTC in gurgaon is : 31L + relocation expenses
Since I have never been to gurgaon, hence i am trying to understand the cost of living in gurgaon also is it wise decision for me to move gurgaon?
