EY, what is the current maternity leave policy? Does the firm allow leave starting at 38 weeks? Is disability (6-8 weeks) separate from parental leave (16 weeks)? When is full eligibility - after 12 months of employment?

For those who were diagnosed as an adult can you provide some insight into how you were able to obtain a diagnosis. I went to my primary care dr who referred me to another dr who specialized in mental health. He asked me about 5 questions before telling me I should see a neuropsychologist for an official assessment. The referral he gave me is super pricey and apparently isn’t covered by insurance. Is that normal?

Has anyone tried getting out of their lease and been successful? I’ve been isolating out of the city for 3mo and will be here at least another 3mo, if not more. I live in one of those large/newer buildings managed by Greystar Properties as opposed to a townhouse. Is it possible to work 1-2 years as a junior associate at a super boutique doing a combination of fraud/abuse and transactional work in the healthcare space and then lateral to biglaw to practice securities law? I have heard from friends working in different companies about Synechron. Employees working hours are very closely monitored at Synechron.

Employees have to spend 9 hours inside Office rather than Synechron premise.

Also, employees have some app installed in their virtual machines which tracks the duration for which they were logged in.

Tech Mahindra Hey guys, I attempted Hackathon by tech Mahindra (for jr java developer 1-3 yr exp). After 3 days I received a call from hr confirming that I have been shortlisted and took hr round on that call. Later I received a document verification mail asking for all essential docs which are required for joining, but didn't received any offer letter yet. When I cross checked mail address with my friend in tech Mahindra, he confirmed that such hr exists with same e-mail id. Is it normal in tech Mahindra?

Anyone else use work as their escape? People complain about not having work life balance but I only stay for the long hours. I've battled with depression and anxiety for the last decade because I got married and started a family too young. I'm in a more financially secure place now but my marriage has mentally exhausted me. We're just together for the kids at this point.

Does anyone here struggle with basic things at work? For example, being on time. I know it sounds basic, It’s not about waking up in time, my morning gets filled with something else, I misjudge time, I find something else to procrastinate. I really feel like I’ve been dealt a really bad hand in my life. It feels like no one gives me a chance. Whether it’s a job I know I’m qualified for, or someone I’m interested in.
