How do you go about making yourself look older? I’m 27, but look more like I’m 21, and I feel like my appearance and higher pitch voice are undermining my credibility in front of hiring managers

Is the hiring slowdown over? I contacted a few firms to inquire about lateral opportunities in late June/early July and was asked to check back in the fall due to hiring freezes. I wonder if I should reach back out or if it's too soon. The news about Skadden's staff layoffs this morning makes me think it's too soon.

LEAPS options traders: if you have a January 2022 option that’s up over 1,000% but have held the option for only 3 months, do you exit and take gains now or wait at least until you would get capital gains treatment? (For context: it’s an energy stock, so I bought it waaaaay out of the money right after the huge March sell-off. It’s recovering nicely and I expect it to reach the strike price well before 2022) Any resources to assist with decisions such as these is greatly appreciated!!

Senior up for promo to manager in audit in next year. Have decided I do not want to be an auditor. Which of these paths do you think is best? 1. Stay 1 more year, exit to industry with manager title. 2. Move to advisory internally, but most likely would have to do one more year in audit and move as audit manager to advisory sr 3. Exit immediately into industry to try for accounting manager title / senior accountant or sr fin analyst 4. Exit immediately to advisory senior at another big 4 firm
Has anyone exited into a customer facing education or training role for a technology company? It seems something I’m interested in exploring as an exit and would love to talk to someone going through it or gone through it.
Has anyone ever been hired for a job you were definitely not qualified for? How did it go? I have been interviewing for a position with a higher title + different industry + different role than what I am doing today and somehow I keep moving on to the next round. Am I just imposter syndrome-ing myself or is this a bad idea?
For EY folks, if you’ve successfully referred someone, how soon after do you get the referral bonus?
If you are a WoC and someone you supervised harmed someone but you chose to do nothing because you reasoned it was better to save your ass as a “minority role model,” you’re disgusting.

Resigning on parental leave: how much notice should I give? I know two weeks is standard but I truly don’t have any work to transition while on parental leave. Any risk to them dropping me off payroll immediately? For context, it is a big4 strategy practice.
