Moving to PE post MBA in 6 months as a Sr. Associate, with a background of 4 years in MBB consulting and 1 year in Equity Research. What resources would you recommend me to use to get prepared for the role? Books, courses, podcasts, etc?

Such a bad timing to find new position right now! I am sure I speak for a lot of us, but interviews started happening right before covid and now companies are delaying their process due to obvious reasons.

After a recruiter phone screen and 6 interviews, got rejected at the final round. Can’t help but feel it was a big waste of time, even though I know it’s not. Just sucks to invest that much time in prep, and advancing through three stages just to end up with nothing tangible to show for it right at the finish line.

Sick of slogging in consulting and only making 42,000 a year. I feel like I’m getting robbed but don’t have enough experience to pivot to industry
