What are the toughest lessons you’ve learned in your darkest hour that haven proven correct time and time again ever since?

Hello all!! I wanted to create this bowl for all guitar players. I am a southpaw player and have a Fender Mustang and PRS Custom 24 Lefty. I take Zoom lessons bi-weekly from a Fender Play instructor. I must admit learning a musical instrument during a pandemic is not easy!! My current struggle is moveable power chords.

Advice on how to offset capital gains with a loss. I averaged down on a stock (chk) for years until it finally went bankrupt (lesson learned). The rest of my portfolio is 👍🏼 and I’m realizing approx $20k this year. When I go to sell chk it will be approx $30k loss. Should I wait to sell it next year when I plan to sell my rental property, to offset capital gains? I think you can offset 3k a year, right? Or sell $3k of chk now before January to realize those losses to offset 2020 gains?

Moms, what are your thoughts on ISR vs swim lessons? My baby is 11 month old and I’d like him to learn swimming and be safe. I never learned to swim and I am terrified of water so I want to make sure our kid learns this basic skill. Thank you
