There’s a bird outside my window that sounds exactly like a Microsoft Teams Ping. I’m all for animals but this bird has got TO GO.
Have an interview for a role with EY's human capital consulting group tomorrow. Any opinions on the practice?
Hi Tax Bowlers, I'm an experienced associate (2yrs) in a Big 4 Transfer Pricing division. I have reached a point in my career where I am considering taking up a professional certification. Several colleagues recommended taking up either ACCA or CFA, however, I see little connection between these certifications and the work that I am currently doing, and what I plan to do in the future. What would you guys suggest? Would it be detrimental to my career if I did not take up any certifications?

What’s everyone’s summer (May-Sept) working hours - assuming you don’t have a 6/30 year end client. The partners expectation is 8-6:30 and logging on from home after that some days. Is that insane?
How do you guys deal with staff who turn in incomplete projects right at the timeline you set with them? And they then use nonsensical questions as an “excuse” for why they don’t finish their work. Also: I make absolutely sure I make myself as available as possible for check ins/zoom calls if they are stuck
Anyone else think Points Guy is hot 😍
I’m due to get the vaccine tomorrow and feeling under the weather today with some cold like symptoms (fatigued, slightly sore throat, slight muscle aches). I often get these symptoms right before my period, which is scheduled to arrive in the next couple of days, so could be that, but I also don’t want to risk (i) getting anyone sick at the vaccination clinic or (ii) getting the vaccine if I’m actually sick. Would you postpone?
Do systemwide upgrades work on Finnair? If I have a connection does it take 2 upgrades or just 1?
Looking for honest and positive advice please. Have an offer for D which is 165K TC (SC level) but was recently promoted at the SA level (125K TC) with an incredible team and relationship. Would it be worth leaving an amazing team and positive culture so soon? I’d essentially be starting from scratch from a relationship perspective. For background, I have 2 YOE in Cloud.
Hi, OPT question for folks. My student visa expires in December (EAD expiresin first week of January). I will be enrolling in day 1 CPT college but was told I don’t need to go back to hone country to get my visa stamp on passport. My concern is will this affect me down the road if I apply for green card let’s say in 4 years. Because my passport does not have a valid visa after this year but I will still be staying in the USA under my masters I-20. Thanks!
