Joined LTI recently in P3 band. However not allocated any project. Got a call from the resource management team to relocate, which I rejected upfront as I was promised a role in the location I am posted. It has been over 2 weeks since I am in bench. What shall be the next steps, shall I wait for some days or start looking for other jobs as getting a project looks difficult as there are minimalist responses.

I’m a digital CD with ad, brand, and product experience contemplating a switch to tech. The role leans more product design role as a head of design. I’m worried about not being able to come back to more brand creative side whether in-house or in an agency setting. Is this a legitimate concern? Anyone here have done the back and forth between design and creative at this level?

I saw a post in this bowl regarding someone’s husband wanting to buy a $50k truck while their total income was about $120k and a lot of people in the comment thread agreed $50k car is expensive. This is eye opening for me since I’m not originally from the US and back in my country the car price is usually tripled so for my family we consider a $50k car an average car. We made 2 car purchases in the past 2 years, both brand new, one is a hybrid minivan and the other is Tesla MY. Tbc in comment

So I recently started a position with Fox. When it was presented to me in interview, I was told I would be working aligned with Fox Sports & Entertainment, not so much News. Now that I’m here, I’m seeing everything I’ll be doing is with the News team & makes me uncomfortable. No diversity, outdated software & process.
Financially, it’s the best position I been in. But mentally in this environment, it’s depressing & slow. Nothing innovative or engaging. What would you do?

I’m making just under $55k. I haven’t had movement in my salary in around two years. My best work has come in the last two years, however, and my managers are aware of this. A promotion - god/holding company willing - is anticipated in 2021. I was told by a coworker in 2017 this next step in my career would be at $60k. That was then, though. Is showing longevity at a company a good reason to not take an offer? I got an offer from AWS recently but I’ve been leaving jobs at ~1yrs. I’ve had 5 jobs in my 6 yoe. Longest job held was ~2.5yrs. I like where I’m at, the WLB is good and the leadership/people are nice as well. I don’t see a reason to leave as this company reached out to me and the pay isn’t that much more significant.
