Corp strategy at (senior) Manager or director Level. You’ll be a very new manager so make sure you get the experience of leading as much as you can so you’re ready for the interview process. You may also consider doing PMP while you can. Some firms see value in it and it may be a differentiator depending on where you want to go
It’s not as clear cut, it all depends on how you sell yourself and your skill set. I had 8 years experience pre MBA and it’s still valid for what I do today. PMP is the project management certification you can get from PMI. It’s kinda useless IMHO but some firms love it. I used to work in an engineering firm and they would t hire anyone without. You should be able to do it for free at uncle D’s. With regards to level of new role: also depends on the firm you join. Some hand out director much sooner than others but I think you should aim that high if your experience pre MBA was solid.
Do you not want to do Corp Dev? That definitely makes the most sense if you want to keep doing the same sort of work. Level can vary based on the company. Scan their employees on LinkedIn to get an idea where you’d fall.
Yeah the intersection of Corp Dev / Strategy would work best for me if possible to make that. Perhaps like to run strategy for a smaller company if possible. Are you in a similar position - what have you been able to see as exitmopps?
F500 it’s going to be a lateral move those teams usually take bankers to Corp Dev and pretty early to level up from Manager in Corp Strategy IMO
