Anyone from BCG Chicago willing to answer a few questions? I'm a sophomore applying to the internship program. Thanks!! 🙂
Hey Deloitte 🐠 is it typical to not hear back from your recruiter a week after you complete your second round? I felt good about how the interviews went but have not heard back from the recruiter even after sending her 2 notes.
S& Enterprise Value Practice - have a case interview, any types of cases I should practice for in particular? Strategy&
Long shot...but does anyone have any connections to West Virginia University Medicine? SO is a doc and flying there to interview next week. Wanted to get the inside scoop on how the culture & comp is.
Are PE firms conducting final round interviews virtually? I would have assumed that PE firms would not give out offers without in-person rounds, but at the same time, clearly this quarantine seems to be for an extended period of time. Do you know of any firms giving out offers from fully virtual interview rounds?
How do you talk about your work in consulting in job interviews? Would love some pointers.
Does anyone have experience working at a small company? I was furloughed and I’m looking for other opportunities, and I’ve had a few interviews/chats with the Co-founder of this real estate company...
How fast is too fast to get an offer? I had two easy interviews (founders only) and got an offer $20k higher than asking in under 72 hours from first call. It's a very small 9yo company, very niche product, and I’m finding no behind-the-scenes information (doesn't even show up in Glassdoor.) Two other prospects are going very well, but still have 3+ rounds to go for each. Did I just hit the jackpot, or is this too good to be true? Would you take the offer, try vetting them further, or run?
Just got the assessment email for the first round interview with Uber...Any tips?? What should I watch out for??
Sabko offer mil rahi hai Here I am applying and not getting a response from any employer. Is it just me or my bad time. Feels like time is playing hide and seek with me.
Are internships after grad looked down upon? I only have one internship experience and it was with a local real estate firm and I want to get into corporate/commercial banking. Thinking about applying for internships to make myself more marketable. What do y’all think?
Anyone have any insight as to what the interviewing process for the Siegfried Group is like? What type of questions do they ask?
Lots of articles say it’s meaningless/less impactful to begin a convo with the typical “hey, how are you?”...What’s your take here? Let’s say you have an interview and the recruiter will call you at 9am. How do you answer the phone?
Have GCP TAM interview coming up soon, Any suggestions on what to read up on for the case studies. I feel I am pretty ready for the RRK (I hope) as I have around 3-4 years of hands on engineering/analyst/consulting experience with AWS/Azure/GCP. But I have never had to do a case study before Other than the Jeff Sipe recommendations, anything else anyone recommends I believe this might be a for generalist TAM probably l4/l5 (I have 5.5 YOE)
Are there any Disney fish in this bowl, I could DM about the application and interview process? Disney is my dream company and haven’t had much luck with the process so I would definitely appreciate it.
Recruiter that I talked to a little bit a few months ago but never ended up applying through (I didn’t apply anywhere) just reached back out to gauge interest. I said only if he can find me something remote. No response since. Well well well, I guess the ghoster has become the ghostee 🤷🏻♀️
Recruiting and coaching - how are they interconnected? The interview pattern #successcoach # mindset #recruiting.

Feeling good as hell You know you a star, you can touch the sky I know that it's hard but you have to try If you need advice, let me simplify If he don't love you anymore Just walk your fine ass out the door
Had a mental break down in the airport today. I used to be able to deal with this job but three years has worn me down. Hoped this job would boost my resume but I can’t get an interview anywhere else.
Does anyone work in EY's People Advisory Services? How do you like it? Any tips for a phone interview with a recruiter?
Curious if anyone has advice if I should look for another job. My boss is a micro manager, not big on WLB, I don’t see an opportunity to independently work on projects ever and there is no path to promotion since it’s a very small team. On the flip side, he’d take me to all exec meetings and it’s been in an incredible learning experience to be in those rooms, listening and knowing where I’m making an impact. He’s been a good coach and thinks highly of me. (Contd.)
I'm sure this has been covered but does anyone know the typical bonus rates for PwC public sector experienced associate?
I got sick with what I at first thought was stomach bug last Sunday (vomiting, fatigue, then crazy chills and body aches). Lasted 1 day. My nose was also a bit congested, so went to get a pcr on Monday and got a positive result. Tested again at 2 diff places on Wed - 2 negatives. All pcr. Had no symptoms since Sunday. Has anyone had something similar happen to them? Was it just false positive (everyone’s been saying that almost never happens), or just super mild case of Covid?
I’m a little over a month in to my new role and feel like I keep choking on external calls I have. Thankfully my manager is on them and can jump in and I’m trying to learn and apply it next time but it’s killing my confidence. I also have this fear that I just don’t have the skills to have these conversations and will get fired. Any tips/thoughts/encouragement?
Was talking to the husband about what to do when kid 2 comes, if I'd want to go part time/flexible and keep them both at home while we wait for the pandemic to calm down (kid 1 is currently in daycare). He said he would look into it as well so we could split the time, no reason for one person to take full responsibility. I almost cried lol Ladies!! Talk to your husbands/SOs! Maybe not all will offer that solution on their own but see if they are receptive to the idea if you're struggling.
The twitter CEO’s base salary is $1million (plus bonus RSUs upto 150% of that). The google CFO’s base is $1million (plus some RSUs I’m sure) and here I am thinking a 3-4th year EY Partner or 1-2nd year MBB partner would probably make that much base? But making partner (as hard as it is) has to be much easier than being a C level exec in tech? What am I missing here :/
I have been invited to a company diversity program. After reviewing the materials, I believe this will be more divisive and unhelpful than it will be constructive. I would like to not attend. Has anyone been successful in having this type of conversation with their manager? And because it seems to matter these days, I’ll just throw out there that I am not a cis white man 😂
What does one typically talk about during an interview with the COO? I made it past 5 rounds plus a modeling exam so far.
I am married for 4 years and my wife is pregnant in her 2nd trimester. As much we love each other, We always had our share of fights and arguments over one thing or the other since the very first year of marriage but we somehow sailed through. Now when she is pregnant our arguments have now almost doubled. Since she is pregnant I am always the one who is apologizing and trying to be the nice guy though internally my soul is really pissed off and I feel like not to be with her. I want to tell h
Half the district’s student population is out either with Covid, or quarantine. Frustration ensues.
Currently Audit senior 2 looking to transfer to advisory. Exploring some internal advisory roles as well as external roles with mid sized firms - looking for advice on Big 4 advisory vs. with a mid sized firm? Personally I feel like I would get more exposure to different projects/clients at a mid sized firm, where at big 4 would prob be pigeoned holed in a specific niche sector/industry with little flexibility to try other things. TIA
Ex Deloitte and EY fish: how do you access you pension statements years after you've left?
I’ve joked about this but honestly why isn’t there a Union for people that work in Advertising?
After getting promoted in Feb 2020 (lol fml) I designed and implemented a significant piece of data infrastructure that is beyond what’s expected of someone at my level. In 2021, I was not recognized for this accomplishment and a guy who knows nothing about the technology was promoted over me. It’s been a year since his promotion & the wheels are starting to come off: others are becoming increasingly aware of his ineptitude. What’s the best way to subtly pour gasoline on this fire?
Favorite/most helpful book(s) on drafting/revising various types of contracts in your client’s favor? I’m a newbie associate counsel, so I want to absorb any and all guidance available.
