At McK you have to have worked there for a certain amount of time (at least long enough to go through a review cycle; 1+ yr), be in good standing with the firm, and agree come back for two years post-MBA.
Pretty sure there are a couple different options for how it’s paid out (lump sum up front vs. retroactive reimbursement), but I’m not very familiar with all of that. I think for one option you’re allowed to do a non-Firm internship during the summer between MBA years 1 and 2. The other option requires you to be summer associate/consultant at the Firm.
