Yes, that’s why you don’t get a quarantine dog

Well if you’re like my neighbor you’ll let your dog bark nonstop for a half hour every time you leave the house and go about your day.

And I hope I’m on all of your meetings.

Train that poor dog now so you dont worry about it when you’re back at work
Invest in training sooner rather than later. Training is good for the dog and beneficial for your relationship.

Look into parking your dog with a family who's got kids in public schools. 100% of schooling is remote so at least one of the parents has to stay at home all day with the kids. They can look after your dog while at it. Win win win.

BCG1, not that many above Mason Dixie Line. Private schools - some; public schools - "remote" until further notice
I had mine for years before this, but my best advice is to start the training now. I have a good one who is doing remote lessons if you're interested.
Yes please :)

Not all dogs need to be crate trained. Is your dog a puppy, still teething, a counter surfer, or otherwise destructive? Then maybe it needs to be crated.
As long as I walked my dog thoroughly before work or did a decent dog park runaround, she was fine all day...uncrated from 10 weeks. Labradoodle. Sure, a few baseboards were munched in puppyhood but we're past that now.
Definitely dogproof the house and practice a "we're leaving" routine with a tasty treat like a frozen kong, leave for 30 mins, and up the time. Your dog will learn you come back! Be calm as you pack up as they can sense stress if you are running around. GL!

Daycare for dogs :) I still take my dog there even when I wfh
My dog had severe separation anxiety when we first got her (adopted at just over 1 year old). As in actual separation anxiety / she had a panic attack and barked/cried non stop throwing herself against the door - not the separation anxiety that a lot of people say they have where their high energy dog is just bored so they destroy something. But, we trained it out of her over a few months. We used a crate at first for those first few months, but ever since she has been good she has free roam of most of the house with no issues. Even with the crate training she was never in it for longer than 2-3 hours.

Why didn’t you think this through before getting the dog?
Because then the OP would've ended up without a dog. Duh!
