Just my boring perspective, but every dollar of my bonus money while in biglaw went to investments. Allowed me to build up enough of a significant financial cushion to have the courage to leave.

I paid off my student loans earlier this year, and every cent of all of my previous bonuses went toward those (or my wedding). This year, I am treating myself to a pergola, fire pit and outdoor seating for my backyard.

Yo, anyone spending $100k on a wedding grew up privileged. People that grew up broke are not going to prioritize paying for a wedding vs paying off debt.
This incessant need to label everyone who is not disadvantaged as “privileged” is becoming both annoying and meaningless.

I spent 10K of my bonus on a GMT Master II and I'll do it again!!!
I am thinking about trading it for a used Lange 1 since the grey market for the GMT is going crazy
