This upcoming year our school district is trying early release every Wednesday. I find it difficult to cover all the standards in a high school math class, and now I am concerned with having to modify/reduce our curriculum. It will take 10-15 minutes out of the period on Wednesdays. Do you think it will change what we can teach? A colleague suggested a flipped classroom. I teach in an affluent area that only spent a couple weeks remote learning for all last year. Thoughts on flipped classroom?

Thought I would share something positive with the group. Sat AM, family member calls and says second cousins son needs a massive operation, we as family should send some money to help out since the family in need is just living on monthly wages. Made 3 phone calls and within hours we collected more than half of the operation cost. Proud to see most of the family members contributing more than I had expected
