Can we negotiate the notice period at Optum? I know it is usually 90 days. I'm getting a 60% hike else where but the company says I have to join in 45 days after the offer release. Can I reduce my notice period by 45 days at Optum if I request it? Stuck with this, please help.

I don’t know how to pick the best 529 plan from Vanguard. Are there specific ones that are known to do well that are permissible by EY? Anyone know if I can do a rollover from another 529?

I don’t really know what to do. I somewhat enjoy doing commissions online, but i eventually want to move away from it to work on bigger projects. I don’t have the skills yet, so I have to be patient. However commissions alone aren’t enough for me to live on, and I just want a temp or part time job to help with the extra income. I have been having a hard time finding work, and I honestly feel like I have 0 skills. Portfolio wise, nothing I have is acceptable for looking for work.
How many days before I should tell companies that even after accepting their offer I am not going to join. Shoud there be any formal communication for this?

I am a Senior People (HR) Business Partner working in NYC under an H-1B visa (9 years of experience). I am looking for something new, but I am finding it extremely difficult to find a company who would support an H-1B Change of Employer (COE). I either get declined immediately as part of the application process or get told the company does not support visa sponsorship for non-tech roles. Any tips, tricks, or great companies where an H-1B COE would not be an issue?
I’ve been working as an HR Generalist or Manager for 6+ years, but I am wanting to make a move to organizational development/staff development. Does anyone have advice on how to make that switch? Certain certifications or courses that would be beneficial maybe. Thanks!
Any tips for interviewing at Cap Gemini ?
I have been the head of the HR Dept. at my branch for 3 years now. I recruit and manage all my 200 + employees. I was given the Office Administrator job 2 yrs ago as well and still working on HR 90% of the time and wanted to know what the hourly or yearly paid would be. As I don’t think that am getting Compensated properly
Need some advice. During May of 2021 an operations manager and an hourly Hr employee started a relationship while the ops manager was married. We had supervisors give us pictures of those two kissing at workFast forward they are now engaged and getting married. The HR worker does not work here anymore since July 2021. Is it too late to investigate the ops manager for misconduct ? The ops manager has worked here for 15 years and is super valuable, the operation literally can not run without him.
I have been in recruiting for 4 years thinking of changing to something else in HR. What do folks recommend? HR Genealist ? L&D are some areas of interest. Curious to hear from others. What is the best role in HR?
Is this legal? My spouses company just decided to change their comp structure for account managers. It was base + comm, now it’s commission only but nothing changed, OT commission is the same, didn’t get more points, just took away the base pay and said work harder basically. So now they have to worker harder to get $50k they were already making. (Not a decision based on employee performance, they’ve been crushing it. I think the company is just trying to save money they overspent else where)

I applied for a Director Learning and Development (L&D) role at McKinsey about a month ago via a referral. About a week ago, my McKinsey employee (who referred me) received an automated email saying that I had moved to the pre-screening process of the recruitment process and that I'll hear from the recruiter shortly.
It's more than a week now and I haven't heard back. Can anyone shed light on the process -- what to expect, timelines etc.
May soon have an offer for in-house TA coordinator role but also and an entry level agency recruiter position, contemplating which is most suitable.
Any advice on how to identify which is best? Would love to hear from those whom have done both sides of the coin but also everyone else!

Job search can tax your morale, I sure have my days but don’t give up. No one can take away your experience and education you’re worth every penny someone somewhere need your skills☺️
I interviewed at a company last week. It was an hour long interview and the recruiter talked almost the entire time. Like the first 23 minutes, I didn’t even say a word. Not even an introduction. Then at the end, she spent another 20 minutes wrapping up. I got feedback from them today that they aren’t moving forward but I’m a little irked that I didn’t even get a chance to talk about past experiences or my resume or anything. I looked up the recruiter that interviewed me on LinkedIn.
