How long does it take an agency to forget you interviewed there? I interviewed at an agency in March. I described a negative experience I had at a previous agency and they thought I was being openly disrespectful and I did not move forward. Do agencies keep any record of candidates to avoid?

I interviewed for a job a month ago. A few weeks after the interview, I was told my feedback was good, but the company was evaluating all positions at the company at this time. Today, I saw the job is no longer posted, but my application is still "active" in the workday system. Anyone have any idea what this would mean? I don't want to continuously bother the recruiter.

Is it ok to tell your boss/job that you're looking to transition to product, and tell recruiters you're looking for roles in product before you've quit your other job? Or should I wait until I get an offer before telling anyone. I don't want to lose my job or disappoint my boss but product is where I want to end up and I'm working towards that.

How do you answer when interviewer asks you where do you see yourself in 5 years? Thing are so dynamic, I don’t know where I will be in 5 years or should I just BS my way to say I will be at the bank doing bigger transformation work etc.?

Hearing about the Creative Circus closing is bittersweet. Seeing everyone’s posts saying how much this place meant for them and how it changed their lives, I can’t help to remember how lonely I felt upon completing my certificate, not knowing that because of my immigration status I wouldn’t be able to truly reap the benefits of attending a place that takes pride in its job placement rate of 98%.

I decided last week to actively look to leave not only my job but my industry, and felt really good and positive about it. Today I've woken up feeling daunted and unsure about it.

Ive sat with it for a while and I think it's because - and some of you can rightfully get your tiny violins out here - I haven't actively applied for jobs since I was a grad. Every job I have had has come from connections or referrals, but now I'm actively putting myself out there, I feel vulnerable.

So, a recruiter gave me feedback that my lack SPHR or SHRM-SCP is causing my resume to be knock out by AI and human recruiters despite my position and work history in Multinationals and being in Technology. They suggested that we put SPHR ( Lapsed). I let it lapse in 2017. What is your opinion? Plus if I were to take another certification - should I take SPHR or SHRM-SCP?

What's your opinion on making friends with non-HR coworkers? I don't like the thought that someday I might have to write up a friend for disciplinary action or tell them they're fired.

I have been requested to specifically develop of satisfaction survey directly related to management/supervisors and how they are perceived by the company. This would not only be new, but completely outside of the timeline we typically use for our surveys. Although I am excited to build it, it also feels odd that I am creating a survey targeted towards finding weaknesses of leadership. Am I thinking too much into it? What are your thoughts?

Hi Everyone, I have been an HR Generalist for close to 7 years. I had good managers and poor managers in between. My VP once told me not to pursue my MBA because she would teach me everything she knew. She never did. I am currently going for my SHRM SCP. I really enjoy being a Generalist but I don’t know if I want to be an HR Manager. Any suggestions on other areas of HR I should consider?

They also responded to their managers email saying they’re not in a place to take on this role now. But they also said that a family meme et will be needing assistance for 4-6 mo and they don’t want to hold back the business so they’re okay with whatever we decide. It’s been 10 days. Would you consider this job abandonment?

I am looking to gain certification or other credentialing in diversity and inclusion, not only because it would look good on my resume both for future job-search purposes and also to become better educated in this area, which is growing in importance.
I looked at SHRM's "Inclusive Workplace Culture Specialty Credential" and got a bit of "sticker shock" at the cost - $1,655.00 for members.
Does anyone have other suggestions on training/credentialing in this area?
