Interview story: I was hired on the spot at an agreed upon verbal offer of $90,000. The partner told me to put in my two weeks notice. It’s a good thing that I did not do that l, as the company called me back the next day and informed me that they were lowering their offer to $75,000. Moral of the story: get it in writing.
Applied to a Senior FDD role at PwC back in early December. What is the turnaround time for hearing back whether I got an interview or no interview?

Is the title “art director” going extinct? My recent grads are applying for more jobs as “designers” or “digital designers” or “art designers” or, god help us “creative designers” (whatever that is).
Completed interviews with a Big 4 in September. The recruiter I’m working with said that I’m the “top candidate” but also surprised me last minute that the start date was moved to January (originally scheduled to start ASAP). I haven’t received a formal offer and my follow up attempts have been met with “offer is pending approval”. Is this normal provided the uncertainty of the election and COVID? Advice?
I have an interview for my first real job as an attorney almost 4 years after graduating. It’s just a small firm with a couple lawyers. It’s in an area I have no experience or interest in. I am not a stellar candidate at all. Any guidance on how to nail the interview? I really need the job.
Just started a little over a month ago, however I’m actively applying cause it’s not what i thought. Should I add this to my resume? Nothing to highlight yet, too short of a time period.
Has anyone recently switched job or currently interviewing? Wanted to weigh in if it’s even worth applying at this point?

Do you maximize your after-tax contributions up to the ~$57,000? Why or why not? I've read a few MadFientist and Financial Samurai articles on it but haven't yet contributed myself. Curious what strategies you use to max tax sheltered income while planning for early retirement

What’s a really great gift for a friend who helped me a lot with my newborn? Budget is $200-300 - don’t want to do restaurant or massage given covid, and alcohol feels too impersonal. Thanks!
My grandpa keeps getting spam calls and giving out information (ended up losing $20K) despite the calls entering as “spam likely” he still answers and gives out his information. Has anyone been able to deal with this?
I feel that learning happens best the smaller the group and even more with one on one conferences. However, it's hard to find the extra time and then get kids to show up when it's virtual.
In meetings where you don’t have anything to say of value... do y’all say something random or repeat something just so your voice is heard, or do you just stay quiet? I get feedback that I’m quiet in meetings but honestly- these meetings are boring and usually have nothing to do with me. When I have something to say, I speak up..otherwise I’m doing other (more important) work.
If there was one more reason people needed to wear masks - it makes you hotter than you actually are Case in point: there is this person in the gym who is smoking hot with their mask on - rating would be a 9 or 10. Today they finally took their mask off temporarily and I swear that rating is more like a 6 or 7 at best 😂
Help with coparenting childcare cost split. We’re in different states with a newborn. In home childcare is $2400/month. Part time night nurse is $1200/month. I’m proposing me and ex split costs at $1800/each not including the costs that are generally split. We both make $150K. His total contribution would be about $2200 in child support, all in. Reasonable? He’s going to say night nurse is a luxury but I think it’s reasonable for a working mom. Thoughts?
Would Deloitte file a H1b for folks with a GC Ead? I am assuming we will be in a limbo EAD mode for a very long time?
