I picked up fiber arts to help with anxiety, depression and overall working through the many frustrations in the past 2 years that were out of my hand. The repetitive motion of cross stitching, macrame and crocheting really helped me relax. That and everybody got personal handmade gifts for birthdays and the holidays in 2020 and 2021.
As I’m finding my way back into my happy space, I’m getting back to my self-care Saturdays where I pamper myself from head to toe at home. I’ve also scheduled my bi-monthly massages to promote circulation and help keep me limber. I plan to start back exercising and possibly get a gym membership to encourage me to get out of the house more. Outside of my bi-monthly pedicure appointment, I’m also gonna start back journaling and try to read atleast one book a month. Journaling and reading seem to really help keep me balanced. I miss it!
I've been doing 5-minute de-stress meditations & self-care Fridays (full outwash, double masks, etc. ) Instead of Sundays.
It has helped me better. Sundays I don't feel like relaxing to me because I know I have to work in the AM but on Friday...the self-care feels like decompressing after a week and I know I don't have anything to do the next day. So I take my time with my self-care.
I get monthly facials now. Best self care.
3 month massages!
I miss getting massages.. but right now just lots of journaling. Occasionally a super hot bath with soaks!
I am in the gym at least 4 days out of the week.
Going to the beach to walk. Honestly I just feel so calm and relaxed when I am near the water. Not to mention it is great exercise. I walk about two miles a night.
