I have two years of automotive/aerospace manufacturing experience and am looking for new opportunities. I recently applied to a Solution Engineer - Commercial Manufacturing, Automotive, Energy (MAE) role at Salesforce, and it sounds like a great fit. Is anyone willing to offer me a referral or advice on how to move forward in the hiring process? Salesforce

I interviewed for Data Analyst role at EY, it went well and the job sounds great, but I'm a bit hesitant to leave PwC because I really like the firm and I'm just 8 months in my job as an associate at a subgroup of ITS that has some focus on technology and analytics but it's mostly tax compliance.
I do want to transition to data analytics but I'm not sure if it's a good idea to go to another big 4, or maybe just look for a position in industry.

Be authentic, add people you connect with on LinkedIn but only if there are synergies and you are genuinely interested in getting to know them. Try to remember at least one thing about the person or take notes so you can ask about their family/travels/birthday/etc.
Lead with something you might have in common and hyping them up. My best response was when i connected with someone at google because i mentioned we both worked at xyz company and highlighted their successes in their profile and asked to connect to hear her story. Make it about them honestly, people enjoy talking about their hard work and what theyve accomplished. I had an amazing phone call with them and they mentioned they almost never respond to inmails.
Learn about their story. Ask questions and for advice. Everyone loves talking about themselves and giving advice!
They’ll ask for your story if you show interest in them.
Once they know your story ask if they know 3 other people you should connect with.
1 will be a dead end or never answer your email/call
1 will be ok but not go anywhere
1 will be a great lead. Repeat.
