Dude, I'd just be happy for them that they got a job after one of the highest unemployment rate in history has just happened.
Y’all know D1 is actually accurate, right?
The conclusion’s dumb bc white collar unemployment hasn’t been bad but peak unemployment was way worse than the GFC.
Also “one of the highest” rates bc it was much higher during the Depression.
That’s where my head went when I read it. Now we know the labor market was tough for a lot of 2020 - and is hot now. I am sure many of the places s/he applied to in 2020 would now snap her/him up now. But yeah - not a good look. Sometimes less information is better.

Someone trying so hard to be an influencer. Congrats to them but posts like this are terrible.

Probably some random company listed their job opening as Intern#1, Intern#69, Janitor#16, Call Center Specialist#420 and this dude applied to all of them.
In all seriousness, given a certain level and a certain industry, there cannot be 800+ companies hiring. This person is either desperate to get any job (but somehow got a PwC offer instead of Wendy’s’s) or just doesn’t have a focus.
Wendys makes a great burger tho. Have you had a Dave’s Double?!

Yeah that's rough. While I would agree it makes it sound like the person is a bad candidate for an astronomical level of rejections, what's worse to me is the # applications. There's no way you can tell me there were THAT many roles that you actually felt you were a good fit for and put a reasonable degree of effort into

This! Yes this is where my mind went. It just sounds desperate to me. Which I can understand if you were, but that's not something to publicize

Please coach people to not do this
I checked employment history for that person and there’s no employment gap. That person has been employed continuosly and 800+ application .......
Anyone wondering what the whole thing said..
Nahhh..I searched for the post. Was interested who applied for 800+ jobs and what level 🤣🤣
no shade but, 826 jobs to land at pwc lol
I stopped reading after “I have accepted a position”
It should read “a place accepted me”
Clearly PWC goofed up if 800+ other companies chose not to hire this guy
800+ positions, not companies :) but that’s ok, attention to detail isn’t taught at Accenture (JK)
They forgot to list 4 points for “success” 😂 but kudos for trying 800 times

Shotgunning online apps into large corporations typically goes like this 🤣
Maybe this person needs to revise their strategy next job hunt.
Could mean they were picky with what they were accepted to versus not getting an offer... but please coach people not to post things like this. It definitely gives off the feel of a low bar, no matter where you are hired.
I don't understand why people feel the need to publicize this. Just update LinkedIn to your current role and move on.
I would've stopped counting after 17
Do y’all think this person is serious though? I thinks it’s kind of funny and authentic... too many ppl ready to hate on others and taking life too serious. Just congratulate the person and move on...
What kind of loser applies to 800+ jobs. What kind of company hires such a loser?
Imagine what kind of focus they will have at work if they take the same shotgun approach to everything.

Not sure if it's better to be happy or sad for this person
