And what’s that max spend like @ey2?

Not sure about the rest, but Deloitte in the Middle East provide you without least $75 per day

At PwC for out-of-town engagements you get $100 in high cost locations and $75 elsewhere

$50 for out of town dinners and $25 for overtime meals

Never had a per diem, in the traditional sense. PwC had a maximum amount that I regularly disregarded. I’d drop $10 at McDs one day, then $200 at dinner the next day

EY is not a per diem. it's a max spend.

$65 for managers, $90 for senior managers. You can meal average dinner for the week at $50 day. So if you spend $10 one night, you can spend $90 the next

Does ey not get breakfast and lunch? Or coffees at the airport while traveling?

EY is 15 for breakfast and 50 for dinner. you can average dinners for duration of trip but cannot average breakfast. nothing for lunch. if you are senior manager your dinner goes up to 75.

you only get lunch if you are traveling on a weekend and then it's the normal weekend work amounts

So if you are traveling and flying all day for work, you can't get lunch or coffee at the airport?

technically it's not in the policy but everyone does it and you just call it breakfast or dinner.

I’m in industry and need to do an RFP for a multi year tech build for my organization - essentially separating infra and business tech from our parent company post ipo - shared service to standalone. Already had a big 4 in to opine on strategy but need to do the RFP for an implementation partner basically from scratch. Any good resources for drafting an RFP? Boss wants me to do the first draft and I’ve never done one before. I only have a word template from our procurement team.

Does your baby drink more milk when away from you? I am WFH and pumping and breastfeeding. Sometimes nanny gives baby the bottle and then baby wants / sees me and nurses after. I pump afterwards but only get like 1 oz (since she drank a full bottle). So basically, baby needed another 4 oz on top of breastfeeding. On the weekend baby drinks from me and doesn’t need more milk. Baby is 10 months. I have a freezer stash but don’t want to reduce supply too much.

I feel like the Senior manager has to redo all (or a lot) of my work. I’ll suggest something, they’ll modify or reject it and then make a decision. Then I’ll execute on that decision and I didn’t have the best idea and it’ll be tweaked again or something comes up and the approach didn’t actually work based on th support. I’m an A2 up for promotion so I should be performing like a new senior, but I feel like it’s clear that I’m not close. For more context, it’s a first year audit so maybe that...

I fucking hate the expectation that "men must provide" or "women must act a certain way". That's damaging to a lot of relationships. I love division of labor and working with each other's strengths and weaknesses without so much emphasis on gender roles. I'm a big supporter of utilitarian relationship that strives for the good of the partnership and each party.
