Had an interesting conversation, what do you all think? In a post Covid agency structure, do we still need account management? If the clients speak to their creative directors , and the creative directors are able to understand the business problems and not be petulant about ideas the clients don’t like, then the AE etc can go away. That would leave the agency with the people who create the ideas, and strategy who comes up with a plan. Think of the money the agency would saveWhat do you think?
I’ve worked at the same hospital 17 years. I’ve been in case/UR for almost 8. I make 32.00/hr. I have trained several nurses, and a few years ago heard one on the phone talking and she was making almost 9.00/hr more than me. My last review I told them I knew I was at the bottom of the pay scale and wanted them to review my pay. I have not heard back yet, but I’m about ready to jump ship. Bedside nursing received 2 raises during covid. My department did not get it, despite going to the bedside.

Is it concerning if a recruiter is dancing around giving you an offer? or is it just busy bc of Q4, coordinating teams, start dates, and covid?
What are big four companies doing in response to COVID? KPMG US is doing everything they can to prevent layoffs - getting rid of variable compensation bonuses and 401k match before making layoffs
Has anyone ever been bullied by their co workers and paras ? I work with a very cliquey staff. I picked the wrong battle and they have been paying me back with all year. I’m actually sick to my stomach when I think about going back next year and it’s not just about Covid.

What is your requirement for when you must release time? My firm (AM100) typically requires us to release the prior week’s time on Tuesdays. Now, during COVID, we must release within 3 days.
I have a really deep regret in which I left a dream job that I waited for YEARS to materialize. I was new long distance marriage. I wanted to start a family and with the location of dream job (pre-covid) I made some choices. I soon became pregnant a few months later (was in late 30s). While I am thrilled with a healthy baby and have a decent job currently-I am sad that I couldn’t make my dream career work. Covid has put another hitch in a comeback and now i’m 40. How do you deal with regrets?
Already nervous about job prospects after COVID-19. Currently in the middle of clerkship and was about to start applying. Looking bleak.... anyone want to weigh in?
Because of covid, students have to report immediately to their first period classes. I have a group of wild kids who I've been told I need to keep busy with structured activities even before class, but I have prep to do! What can I do?
Anyone know of any good black financial advisors/ wealth managers? I live in the DC area. During all this COVID-19 related stuff it feels like a good time to make sure my finances are in order.
Hi all need help with the decision.
Currently at EY faas Chicago as M2 with $125k salary. Got an offer for $160k for director position with another firm that focuses on start up and focuses on work life balance. The firm was remote pre covid. Should I take the offer?
What should I know about contracting? My agency has decided to close after we couldn’t keep up with Covid etc. I lost my full time position there. They’ve said they would use me as a contractor to continue on the accounts i’m on (mostly just 2h/month doing social copy) BUT i’ve also interviewed with another company and they said it would be contract work. All I know about contracting is that you’ll either have a W-2 or 1099 and you set your own rate (which i have done). What else should I know?
I’m not American, have no SO, and can’t seem to go home or do much traveling domestically either because of COVID. Any inspiration from people in similar situations on how to spend 2 weeks of PTO time before it expires..?

I joined a firm as GC and CCO at the end of last year. I have since learned our upper management are slimeballs. I normally don’t judge clients but these are dishonest people. I want to head out, and have clients that I could take as my own practice but what’s the move here?
We are a data/software provider. My business folks get lots of requests from customers to fill out annual security/due-diligence assessments. I don’t have an issue with them generally, but many of them now include “attestations of compliance”, and will throw in a link to their Vendor Code of Conduct.
We don’t agree in our contracts that we will comply with their Codes (or even that we will answer these assessments in the first place) - but assuming that the business does “attest” to (Cont)

I’m in discussions to become the GC of a mid size but international company that does ~$1 billion in annual revenue. Smallish legal department. They’ve asked for my comp expectations. I don’t have specific expectations but I want to be compensated at least market for a NYC based GC (which looks like cash comp of at least $300k plus bonus, etc). Any suggestions on how people would respond?
Looking for advice on handling a bully. I am relatively junior in the ranks, but have climbed significantly over my tenure and am now responsible for several areas of law for the co. One of the VPs of a department I support isn’t fond of me. It generally doesn’t bother me, but shes developed a habit recently that I need to address: on large group calls when asking for legal advice, she asks me “to reach out to outside counsel” rather than asking me for advice directly. How do I respond?
Started an in-house job after leaving a firm. I love it. Looking back on my old job, I now realize how gaslighted and manipulated I was. People at the new job treat me with such respect, it feels amazing (also sad that my bar is now so low).
As a result, I'm super motivated to do a good job and deliver, but this is a BIG job, one where I can't come close to clearing my plate every week. I'm working 12 hour days to be as responsive as I can, but I know that's a recipe for burnout. Advice?
Starting a new job next month, and considering taking two days off for kids’ spring break next month. Not sure whether it’s appropriate to request time off for a new job (I would’ve preferred not to take any time off for first three months). I may just be able to just ask for a single Friday off (so 1 day rather than 2 days).
Any thoughts on whether I should proceed with the request? I just came from big law and want to make sure I’m not making a bad impression on my colleagues.
Looking to make a transition to in-house in the biotech industry. My co-worker is so resentful and competitive because I was promoted over her last year which caused a demotion on her end. People in the company still go to her for things that should be for me but she rarely corrects them. Shes still involved in the company too in a way that allows her to know secrets that I should know about but never do. I technically am above her within the company but this is how things are. I just do my job and try to not let it bother me but it does. Any suggestions?

Thoughts on retaliation complaint by an in-house lawyer who reported a title VII employee complaint about company founder to company’s outside employment counsel? Subsequently scolded by founder for not immediately notifying founder about complaint, then founder blocked access to legal files and threatened demotion to contracts role? Is there a retaliation claim available here by the in-house lawyer?
