Any thoughts on how do we deal with an incompetent boss who you dont look up to and have no trust that you would ever get credit for the work you would do for him/her? Given that changing the boss is not an option.

Looking for advice:
My dept has 2 directors. One is so rude. The other ignores the issue. The previous HR director told me to report any issues because she was building a case (not appropriate info to share, I know). She's since left and there's a new HR director. This rude guy has recently sent me several very rude things through email and I'm debating how to handle it. Is it worth it to talk to HR? Im worried it'll just make things worse since none of it is "wrong", just rude and insensitive.

Can a senior person please explain to me the point of hazing junior staff through monitoring reports/assignments? Why do we promise clients we’ll find everything under the sun?

Anyone else find it weird for their male boss to WhatsApp you asking about how you are (prior to your due date and prior to giving birth)?
